Good place to stay on a budget

For a place to stay on a budget it was good.The room was clean ,though needs some updating. The beds were worn out 1 you could feel the springs. Continental breakfast was pretty good.The pool was clean but chilly.

Stay at Mackinaw City - Travelodhe

First room was small and curtain to outside did not close all the way so he gave us a different room which had some cobwebs and floor not real clean and black stuff on the floor in toilet area! Bed was comfortable! Staff not real friendly! Never got a receipt. Hope they didn’t screw me on price! Not sure about future stays at Travelodge.

All was great EXCEPT, there was no butter found at breakfast for my toasted bagel. I also noticed that cabinets that normally hold muffins and donuts were empty. Something else was missing but I can't put my finger on it. Yes, you provided breakfast but I think you cheated. Still happy with our stay though.

Very rude and incompetent desk staff.

They accused me of non-payment for my stay from July 3 to 6 after Ihave shown them a payment receipt from HOTEL.COM for $500+. They even reported to Mackinaw Police instead of checking on my Hotel.com account. I am not a criminal to be reported to the police i have even paid cash $50 for the early check in. I paid for our Shepler tickets worth 200 dollars. I gave tips to the kitchen staff and the room service staff. We stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights but they have checked my account and then they will just inform me thru the police that i have not paid for my stay.

Poor quality hotel, not so good experience.

We booked this stay only for having 3 beds in room as no other property offered it. We already had less expectations from this stay as we read other reviews. But our experience turned out to be worst than what we had read from other reviews. The conditions of the room was pathetic. It had bugs around. Bathrooms taps didn’t operate correctly. Room service was not offered.

What the pressure

Water pressure in #111 horrible, it’s an Aged motel, & shows it. We stayed out of location, price & with a dog. Room mix up but Kim at desk took care!

Carpets were actually sticky. Smoke alarm needed a new battery. Light bulb was out and two others were out in the bath. Mattress was good. Breakfast was OK. Room smelled like cleaning product.

Mackinaw City stay with dog.

We were looking for an inexpensive room for the night while traveling with our dog. Some hotels in Mackinaw City charge $50 for a pet. Travelodge charged $30, was adequately clean, and the room was functional. The sheets and bathroom were clean, it had a fridge and coffeemaker. The location was quiet. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. It actually served breakfast— unusual for Mackinaw City— in a cute greenhouse breakfast room. Coffee, cereals, breads, and muffins. I would not be afraid to stay here, it’s good for the price. Just don’t expect fresh paint and well maintained rooms. Service was good.

MOLD

There was a lot of mold in our room, which is very unhealthy for anyone. The bathroom mostly had all the mold around the ceiling & the shower rod is ready to fall off the wall dangerous trying to even take a shower here. This place really really needs a big upgrade. Would not recommend this place

Room 127 was horrific. As you can see in the photos the bathroom was moldy, ceiling/wall falling apart and tub/shower absolutely horrible. Smelled of mold. When mentioned the mold smell was told the room hadn’t been “aired out” yet. Would MEVER recommend this hotel!!

The room was ok for the amount of time we stayed. However routine maintenance was lacking.. The floor in the bathroom was warped to the point the door was hard to close and the obvious water damage to the floor in front of the vanity was concerning. Had we stayed longer I would have asked for a different room. The staff were wonderful though! Very friendly.

Excellent , was very clean , they took the trash out and made bed every 2 days! Plus ac and heat works well. It's a hidden gem , I don't know why other people said it was bad but they were LYING.
