We made it work
It was a place to lay our head down. The water heater went out the night before. We decided to stay and the owner offered a 15% discount.

Run down
Great location but very run down. When we arrived they told us that there was no hot water until the next day. The next day they told us there would be no hot water for our entire 4 day trip. The water was freezing so that meant no showers. Heaters in the room did not work so they provided a portable one. Overall I would not recommend. The place is in a great location but needs a lot of improvements. Will not return

HORRIBLE customer service. The maids came into our room (while we were still guests at the hotel!) and threw out alllllll of our food and water!!? Tried to then get water from the faucet (elderly family member needed to take medication) and it was almost as yellow as urine. Front desk said, “oh don’t trust the plumbing water”. I asked 20 times (recorded) if this was explained at check in, he refused to answer (reporting the water issue to cali officials). Proved all of this to the front desk clerk, the guy then pretended to take my info to contact me and would offer a discount, neither happened. Did not even bother just offering a freakin bottle of water, after THEIR MAID admitted they trashed all of the water we had just bought to have on hand. Elevator would go down instead of up, got stuck on it repeatedly. Location IS great, but there are several places that offer the same great location, staying at one of them instead is my recommendation.

Bare Bones but great location
The Lovers Point Inn is at a great location. The Beach House Restaurant is across the street. The walking path along the shore is delightful. The rooms are dated and the bathroom needs some renovation. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and want an awesome location, this is for you.

Service desk was cordial Room was made, but black out curtains let in substantial light, tv reception was snowy on every channel, and zoomed in with no menu to fix anything. Shower was draining slow with a low threshold of "Hot"

Clean and comfortable, especially the beds. No view but nice location. Walked to dinner across the street at the very nice Beach House. Happy they had an elevator. However, basement garage very sketchy. One car, one way but exit was blocked so you had to turn around. Narrow entry and exit. Water pooled in places.
