Hotel room and common area was well-taken care of and clean. Hotel staff were friendly and easy to contact via text. Cleaning staff were responsive and friendly. Very good support for English speakers. Marc Anthony room was similar in space to New York City hotel room - not spacious but perfectly adequate. On street level, windows have tinting but in the evening you should close the blinds for full privacy. Excellent food, Walmart, Marshalls, fruit market, beaches within 30 min walking distance. Santurce Art Walk is just two blocks away, beaches to the north
Outside the hotel (early 2025), Santurce has a lower-SES feel to the west and south of the hotel. People will beg you for money at times. Walking at night was mostly comfortable - more empty than threatening. Parking is _very_ tight on the street. Casa Ciana has a lot that is usually available, but I think using Uber to get to and from the hotel is much more useful and then renting from the nearby locations to travel beyond Old San Juan. Street noise is generally low throughout the night.
Practice your Spanish or bring a translater, bring some cash, and visit Restaurant Omayra next door to get some _authentic_ PR food. Or try the food trucks - we didn't get to them this time.
I'd stay here again for sure.
