Irritating smell of cigarettes, in a supposed nons

The parking was ok and safe. The room condition was terrible! I booked for a non-smoking room, and started coughing as soon as i checked in. Didn’t understand what was irritating my throat and I approached the receptionist but told there was no other room for me except that one. I decided to manage, but worst of all, I found a pack of cigarettes by the side of the bed the monring i was checking out and i handed this to the receptionists with my complaint. The hotel should be serious in safeguarding the health of others particularly if a guests had booked for a non-smoking room, every effort should be made to ensure that preference is respected.

Wouldn’t honor reservation

When we got there to check in, they had the reservation, but were sold out of rooms so they couldn’t honor it. They had never contacted us ahead of time to let us know. It’s was parents weekend for my daughter’s college and everywhere was sold out and they couldn’t give us a room or explain why this happened. It was exactly like the Seinfeld rental car scene. Worst and most baffling hotel experience I’ve ever had.

This was a horrible experience! We booked a room there for Parents’ weekend advance. They called us at 6p the night of while we were out with our college son at an event to tell us they canceled our reservation with no explanation!? We had to scramble to find a room when there were no rooms available anywhere! We ended up sleeping at a roach motel that night! And did not refund us the money on top of that!! I tried calling them multiple times and they answer! They ruined our weekend with our son… I’m extremely disappointed.

Not Safe & Not Comfortable!

My experience at this location was not good. The area felt unsafe, and there were several people outside doing drugs and smoking. The rooms were okay, but I noticed cockroaches running around, which was very unpleasant. Also, even though the property clearly says “No Smoking,” people were smoking upstairs, and the smell carried through the hallways. Overall, I did not feel comfortable staying here.

I waited several times as my room key stopped working, therefore waiting for someone to generate a new key longer than usual. I did pay for a room with “premium bedding and snacks! Premium bedding was two nicer pillows on each bed! No snacks or acknowledgements! Day/night one the toilet ran constantly, if you attempted to cut the water, the valve would spray huge amounts of water. I had to report for work at 4:40 am, no one answered the front desk nor the telephone. After returning to the hotel at 1:50 am after a long humid rainy day of work there was NO HOT WATER!!! I called the front desk repeatedly with no answer. I went back down the front check in and no one was there! I returned to my room called once more, and so I packed up and left the hotel at 2:22 AM. I managed to find someone who was a representative of the hotel outside smoking told her my discontent, as well as I wrote on my key card envelope my name, my phone number and the issues with the hot water and the running toilet. There has been No response! But I recognize this is not a luxury hotel. The conditions are very undesirable, especially with no accountability. The overall aesthetics of the red roof, Inn is nice but the amount of people outside all hours of the night in the parking lot and on the balconies is disturbing!
