Extremely friendly and helpful in all aspects! Grounds, rooms and public areas well decorated. Beach wonderful & not crowded. This is a boutique hotel of 85 rooms so staff gets to know the guests & their individual likes and needs.

Sehr modern,direkt am Strand,perfekte Entspannung
Wunderschöne Anlage direkt am Strand mit tollem Pool, sehr freundlichem Personal und allem was man zum Entspannen braucht. Moderne Zimmer mit großem Bad. Am Abend gibt es ein ansprechendes und wechselndes Buffet und dazu immer wieder live music oder anderes Entertainment. Dazu eine softe Animation und mehreren Möglichkeiten Spaß zu haben (Volleyball, Aqua Gymnastic, reiten am Strand, Boccia…) Das Gym ist leider ein sehr kleiner Raum mit einem Laufband und schreit nach einem Upgrade, aber wer sportlich ist wird sich auch ohne Gewichte und in der Natur fit halten können. Besonders schön ist es wenn Ebbe herrscht und man mehrere hundert Meter weit ins offene Meer gehen kann. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wurden stets freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt. Auch ab Abreisetag wurde uns ohne Probleme ein Late Check out ermöglicht. Immer wieder gerne!

Beautiful hotel but very very hot …
It is a beautiful hotel!!! So nice place !!! Unfortunately there is not air acondition is any place , at room air condition did not work properly and they did I not do anything about it … our room says for 3 people but unfortunately space did not permit it so we had to take another room . For price it is not good but I have to say it is a very beatific place . Another annoying thing it is that you can not go to water at the beach, as the Masai do not allow you without charge you 150 usd to go with your to water …. It is imposible to go out of hotel boundary … they put in front animals to say that it is unsafe to walk in there ..::

Had a perfect 7 day stay here!! Lovely staff, wonder full people. All I can say I wish the food was better, I would say it’s - average of what you can expect from a hotel with this standards. Anyways, when they had a theme night with charcoal bbq things where different and way better.

Lux* Marijiani est un hôtel magnifique de la côte ouest de Zanzibar. Il propose des prestations de très hautes qualités avec beaucoup de personnel et des activités. Le lieu est plus beau que sur les photos, ce qui est rare. Nous avons adoré leur service de restauration et notamment le restaurant Samaa et la pizza Bongo. Le lieu est sécurisé. Nous avons bien dormi même si les chambres manques de finitions (peintures qui débordent, fenêtre qui laisse passer un peu d’air..). Nous conseillons cet hôtel pour votre séjour.

It was one of the nicer resorts we have stayed in and must mention - Ally the Manager and Chef Dinesh , they were the best thing in the resort . Very helpful and accommodative. I celebrated my honeymoon on June 8th at Lux and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. In fact, I plan to return next year at the same time. I hope to see Grace, who works at the reception. The workers there were well mannered and hardworking. I noticed that the first day I was there. They make sure your arrival is very welcoming and will go out of their way to make everything as comfortable for you. And of course the property there is beautiful. Would give this hotel a lot more stars if I could! We had an amazing time from the moment we checked in l, to when our stay came to an end. The hotel is elegantly designed and perfectly maintained. Our bedrooms were large, clean and had a good layout with the most comfortable bed and pillows I could imagine. The staff were very friendly and approachable throughtout - always asking how we were, if we needed anything and wanted us to enjoy our stay. Special mentions go to Christopher, Glory and Norah at reception/housekeeping and Ursulina our waitress and Dinesh the Head Chef who made sure we were well looked after. The beach, pool and spa are all clean and again well maintained. This hotel is smaller than some of the others in the area and I think that adds to its charm plus staff go out of their way to ensure guests comfort. I would highly recommend!
