Nice place, poor sleep

Location was excellent, just 1-2mins walk from the station. It was newly renovated with a lift which we could handle our luggage with ease. We had a privilege to enjoy the city vibe from our room all night long, starting from midnight with crowds chatting and shouting, till dawn with workers cleaning the road and clearing trash. You could just hear everything outside by staying in your bed, which woke us up from time to time. Wouldn’t be my first choice if I wanted to have a nice sleep to overcome jetlag

A lovely quaint hotel fantastically located near Paddington station and Hyde Park. Perfect for our trip to Winter Wonderland. The staff were friendly, the rooms immaculately cleaned and the Victorian style bathrooms very cute. House keeping was also very good and changed our towels and made the bed. Sadly there are some cons. The lift was out of service (and from the reviews it sounds like this is a recurring problem, not a one off) and our room was located down what felt like a service passage behind the kitchen. This was made quite inconvenient when we arrived with suitcases because they had decided to stack tables and chairs in this narrow hallway for an event. So thanks for that. The “large” room is not very large, and not suitable for 2 people. There is a “wardrobe” that can hold exactly one coat, a single luggage rack, two small bed side tables and a windowsill. There are no other surfaces to put things on so the majority of our stuff ended up on the floor. We were quite sad to discover no in-room kettle. This is a basic facility provided by the worst premier inns. Instead your only option is the very expensive coffee place in the lobby. The free water bottles and refill station was a nice touch though. The room was also very cold in November, with a single pane window and a tiny radiator that did little to heat the room. Our biggest complaint by far however is that our window was located at the front of the building and there are multiple pubs next door and a

Business travelers beware: the "pay at property" option is misleading. Despite giving my company card at check-in, the hotel charged my deposit card instead. This caused problems at work, and the hotel refused to fix it. Once they charged the wrong card, they showed no concern. Be cautious if you want control over payment.

Room was clean, but edge of sink needed a little attention. The rubber trim was lifting in the corners, they took care of it right away. It is a cute hotel, but the rooms are on the small side. We booked the large room and that was a bit of a stretch for us both, but we don't spend much time in our room, we are out and about. It is a cozy hotel, close to pubs, easy to walk to sites, Paddington station is across the street. We choose this place for location and convenience.

Excellent location, right across from Paddington station, with good restaurants around and convenience stores. Staff is cordial and helpful. Bed is very comfortable and bathroom was a decent size and had the basic amenities. A couple of things of note: the hotel is not accessible for people with low mobility. There’s a lift but steps are unavoidable. I had a large checked bag and had difficulty carrying it around. Another important point, while it is not unusual for older buildings not to have aircon in the UK, the room got really warm at night, even with the central heating off. On the first floor, wing M, opening the window was an option but the street was extremely loud. I think it’s the back alley of a restaurant or something so midnight, one am, you’d hear very loud noises of things being dragged around and deliveries etc. Because of that I didn’t get as much rest I would’ve liked, despite the bed being comfortable. Check in and check out were seamless through their website.
