A little old and in need of tile general updates

Was not what I have experienced from other Wyndam hotels. It was a pretty old and tired room, and unfortunately smelled of old cigarette smoke. Room is in need of floor and shower tile and general updates. I arrived pretty late and needed something to eat and the vending machines did not take dollar bills or credit cards, only coins which we do not carry. I will find better options in the area in the future.

I found the room to be noisy and bright. Ground floor with a sliding door access to the parking lot. The light from outside was too bright, I like a dark sleeping environment. And breakfast had no proteins, just carbs and sweets. The coffee was terrible. I went to Bojangles for breakfast.

The front desk was extremely incompetent. We stayed over one night and the hotel canceled the remaining reservation after it was already paid for. They overbooked the hotel and could not find our paid reservation. We were totally inconvenienced and forced to find another hotel at the last minute. The operator didn't pick up the phone at the hotel after several calls.

Our rooms smoke detector was signaling a dead battery. We called the front desk. They sent maintenance. They said it was fixed it, but it continued to chirp. We called the front desk to request another room. They said they were sold out. We told them we were not going to stay in a room with it chirping every couple minutes. . Water wouldn’t go down in the shower we left the room. Someone came to fix it and left Hair and such behind in the shower when we complained about the mold, they said that they would need us to be in the room because they do not send anybody in the room without someone in there when I told the lady at the front desk that somebody had been in the room she claimed no one had been in the room and that they had cameras when somebody clearly came in to fix the tub.

The property was clean..My complaint was the elevator did not have proper lighting. Several small led pop lights outs. I would not have gotten on with strangers due to very dark.
