Spend the extra money somewhere else
Don't stay here... I read the reviews, and I was hoping it was not as bad as people made it out to be. It was. 2 star hotel for sure. Stayed for 6 nights and never had our room cleaned once even after asking multiple times. Kitchenet was bare minimum. Mirror in room was broken. Elevator was very dirty. Insisted on charging 250 CAD when you arrive for damage deposit which I have still not received back and doubt I will. After checking out they said they cannot watch our bags for an hour because they have no room but if you pay 50 CAD they will find room. Who does that? I booked this place hoping it was a cheap no frills Hotel but it was much less.

Not this hotel
Not enough towels were provided for two people and they didn't provide more because they didn't seem to have any.. We were supposed to get a room cleaning every 3 days and they didn't come once in 7 days. Same thing for my sister but they tried to charge her a cleaning fee. And the rooms could have used a good cleaning. It's close to lots of restaurants and the chair lifts and the hot tub was great for a soak at the end of a day of skiing but I wouldn't stay here a second time.

Muy mala experiencia estaba muy sucio en general las instalaciones muy viejas y no funcionaban como debían. Cobraron demás en todo hasta para dejar unas maletas 2 horas. No dejaban ni papel de baño ni ningún artículo para el baño. Este estaba sucio desde la entrada. Los platos y utensilios de la cocina sucios. Los cajones sucios En 8 días solo una media limpieza en la habitación.

Loud and unhelpful hotel
The hotel is nice overall. A bit dated but well located and the rooms are a good size. The issue is both the noise and the way they handle it. If you are in any even number room between 118 to about 130 you can expect to be kept up until 12pm with bar noise and until early morning with night club music. This is to be expected on some level as it is the heart of Whistler. However the staff act like it’s a surprise when it is raised. There were no earplugs and only after I complained to the maintenance person was any care taken. I’d be happy to rate them higher if they were proactive. Put earplugs in the room. Put a white noise machine in there. Let people know upon arriving that they can call the noise warden for you. Heck. Go out when the bar is closing and politely ask people to not yell. Do anything proactive and I’d be understanding.

Overall good
Overall the suite was good. Clean for the most part but some things to note: The grout in between the bathroom shower tiles was dirty. Which was a bit of a turn off. The hallway noise especially doors opening and closing was quite loud as well as the footsteps in suite upstairs but for the most part it was quiet from 12am - 7am

Must be under new cheap management
doors to lobby are always locked which means if you are trying to check in you need to cheat front desk. Keys stopped working middle of the night so one family member was stuck in the stairwell in minus weather, pool water temperature was 19- 20 degrees c according to my Garmin watch. It is way too cold for us to be Able to use it. I stayed at Blackomb Lodge previously and iit must be under new management. we had a very cheap customer service experience. Only one tiny soap for a room that supposedly is for 6 people, freezing pool temperature... will definitely not stay here again

I see negative reviews for Blackcomb Lodge because you have to pay for parking. Well, you have to pay to parks all over in the area. I see reviews about the building being locked all the time. This hotel is located in a great location with many bars and restaurants in close proximity. Even though it’s a safe area, it needs to be locked!! When we were there the Msnager was off, but the staff we dealt with were nothing short of perfect!!!

Booked through Expedia, when we arrived the property told me we only have paid for two registered guests. They charged an extra $116 for our 2 children per night. Our TV also did not work. We called the front desk and she tried to troubleshoot over the phone. After a couple minutes she told us that someone would come up and fix it. After 30 minutes, we called again and she said they are on their way. We waited another 30 minutes without anyone showing up.

I wish I could upload photos. Since I can’t I have uploaded a few to imgur https://imgur.com/a/DHLiwJ2 Before booking here you should be aware of a couple things. The hotel loves to emphasise that guests are not welcome to visit you when you are staying here. On the day I checked out I asked if I could leave my suitcase at reception for a few hours. I was told this would incur an additional $50 charge. The front of the hotel is in disrepair and it looks like no gardening has been done in a while and nobody has swept the walkway in some time. Fairly disappointing.

Beautiful property, we got an upgrade which was lovely. Staff beyond friendly and helpful. Nice pool and hot tub. Great location. Only thing we didn't like was hallway noise and noisy neighbors in the next room.
