Disgusting
This was the filthiest hotel room I’ve ever been in; unit 207. This room was not rentable. Carpets and sofa filthy. Bedding looked reasonably clean but the mattress was stained and disgusting. Bedding was torn and in disrepair. Drapes were torn. Bathtub was wrote off. I had some welts on my body in the morning that weren’t there when we checked in. You could hear every sound from surrounding rooms. Elevator was out of service. Carpets in common areas were gross. Hotel looked decent from outside; looked to be in midst of renovation but our room should never have been rented to anyone. Smelled weird. I can’t believe this motel is part of the Choice Hotels chain. Obviously no one from head office is coming around to check on this property.

Hotel full of masters repairing inside the hotel.
They should have warned the guests that they were remodeling the hotel. There were construction workers working inside the hotel. It was a shame not to have known about this.

Renovations are still underway, but the completed areas are very nicely appointed. The hallway and rooms are very pleasant. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The stay was very good, and I plan to return to this property.

The staff was amazing. The hotel flooded due to Hurricane Milton. All hotel workers worked hard to evacuate patrons. We only stayed a day and a half of our 3 day stay.

Calm before the storm
Even though the circumstances for our stay was due to an evacuation, this was a very comfortable place to stay, the room was spacious, and the front staff accommodating. Good location also.

Bad start and horrible finish. We evacuated there to avoid hurricane Milton so I really wasn't going to be picky. The room was ok nothing bad, but only one set of towels for three people, and a dirty washcloth on the floor There were ants all over the bathroom and near the tv. There woke us up at5am after the hurricane and told us we were being evacuated because there was water on the first floor (we were on the second) and our cars were flooded. They told us they would "try" to get us a ride to a shelter if there was room in the shelter, if not we were to stand outside while they locked the doors with absolutely no where to go and no ride. There were many very sick elderly people stuck outside with no cell service,, and no vehicle. Absolutely unacceptable, disgusting way to treat already traumatized people. They also didn't refund us for the money!!!
