Double charged, hassle not worth it
We paid for the trip on Hotels.com, but when we arrived, the front desk staff charged us again while checking us in, to the tune of $1400. The next day, I asked them about it. They acknowledged the error but said the person who does refunds was not there, and they would issue the refund on Monday (which was after we were going to leave). We've tried calling and going through Hotels.com to get the refund. Two weeks later, they still haven't issued it.
Everything else about the stay was good, but you can't double charge someone and then just try to keep the money. That outweighs everything else about the hotel. If we knew about this, we would not have stayed here.
