We stayed at the Hyatt the week after Christmas and were very impressed with the staff. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful! Unfortunately, many guests here are the exact opposite - a shame! Lots of “young people” who bawl at night, set off alarms or get drunk. Unfortunately, we didn't like the "Americanization" at all. A little more Mexico would be nice.

Fint hotell og god all inclusive opplevelse, maten er OK, barene er veldig bra. Hotellet er litt gammelt, men skal stenges for totalrenovering i april 2025z Minus her er at concierge-gjengen hele tiden prøver å selge deg «upsell pakker». Ekstra kost for cabana istedenfor senger, ekstra kost for spesielle middagsopplevelser istedenfor det du har inkl. i pakken osv. Styr unna VIP-service gjengen, de er der kun for å få deg til å kjøpe deg inn i deres UVC (unlimited vacation club) og de lover deg gull og grønne skoger for at du kun blir med på en frokost og presentasjon som skal vare i 90 min. Sannheten er at det hele varer minimum 3,5 timer, og du får de voucherne som er lovet, men de er vanskelig å bruke pga. mange ulike forbehold i liten skrift.

The hotel is nice, beach did not have much sargassum when we were there. Activities are really fun and staff is really kind and helpful. Rooms were spacious. My problem is that the hotel is clearly understaffed. Service is VERY slow, and it’s not fault of the staff, but of the lack of personnel. Everything takes a long time: being directed to your table, ordering food, drinks, etc. We sat at the sushi bar, where they serve 15 people at once, and there was only one person making the dishes, so we waited for more than one hour to eat. Also, the Japanese restaurant is very smoky and you leave there with your clothes smelling like food. The restaurant with best food and service for me was the Italian. I do recommend the hotel very much, however I suggest they hire more people asap.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was beautiful, and well kept and clean. The hot tub was not very hot, more like a lukewarm bath. But otherwise the place was wonderful.

It’s a good place if you’re a bit older couple. Not for young people in mid to late 20’s. Overall the food options were good mostly tropical with decent buffet options and bar was good however many times it would be hard to get a drink that isn’t just like the last drink.

This is a complicated review. At the end of the day we had a nice time because we were with friends. The hotel is nice and small and nothing is far away. The food we ate was pretty alright, the execution and logistics were awful. It seemed as though they had plenty of staff roaming around the entrance (not doing much) and then the waiters were so outrageously swamped with work they couldn’t do their job well. It would often take repeated requests to get water at your table or a refil of something. It could take 20-30 minutes for them to take your order at one of the restaurants. This was frustrating. There also seemed to be a lack of food available at times. The Buffett is only open at specific days/times. So sometimes you would ask yourself where you could get food, which felt absurd at an all inclusive. The staff being so overworked and overwhelmed, the hotel then lacked that warm essence that makes an All Inclusive special. Again it was just a logistics thing, once you had food it was tasty. The Buffett is the smallest I’ve seen. The bar’s variety of liquor was also disappointing. Nothing top shelf unless you want to pay extra. Another frustration was they have many cabanas for rent at the pool, $80 or so a day. A real lack of non paid chairs, this was a tough one for me. We had friends that were early risers that would go down to get seats by the pool at 6 am. By 7 am a good chunk of seats were taken. This really detracted from a fun holiday. It was fine.Wouldn’t return

The property is immaculate and very well kept. The rooms are spacious and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The check in process was very quick and efficient and we were upgraded to an ocean view room because we were Expedia customers. My only complaint is that the day before we left housekeeping did a horrible job with our room! They left us no waters or towels, and barely cleaned the room and all the other days the service was immaculate. This to me was unacceptable. Plenty of beach chairs but cabanas are an extra charge and so are the coconut drinks. Capri Grill has the best Italian food (the mushroom risotto is to die for) and the Baja fish tacos at Lola Beach are the best I’ve had anywhere. The staff at the Coffee Republic were very friendly and always made the best lattes! Overall we had a great time and the staff was wonderful and made our stay a memorable one.

Beautiful property, very clean with kind staff. Long waits for a table at dinner, small portion sizes and service was slow. Rented a cabana one day and the waiter never came with our drinks multiple times.

Staff was OUTSTANDING! Accommodations were very nice. Food at Tempest was excellent, other two restaurants were just okay. Beach was stunning and clean. Pool area was lovely, but needed more lounges. If you are a smoker, be prepared to be treated like a pariah - two locations where smoking is allowed- one that literally has no access. I

There are pros and cons to a small resort. Limited dining options and we unfortunately got the same “grumpy” waiter who was not very good with English. Hibachi was the best for dinner. Pool was nice, ocean had stinging jelly fish; perhaps just the time of year. Bars frequently ran out of types of alcohol requiring substitutes. What we noticed most was the lack of attention to detail as compared to other resorts we have experienced.

This hotel has everything you need for a relaxing experience. It feels secluded and intimate as it is off the main road and commercial areas. The staff works hard to pamper you. The beach is not the nicest, but not too bad either. Beware of jelly fish, they can hurt you seriously. Maybe it is seasonal. Lots of sea grass as well. We were there the last week of November. Other than that, had an amazing time!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya for our 25th wedding anniversary, and we can confidently say it was one of the most enjoyable experiences we’ve ever had! First and foremost, the water pressure in the shower was incredible. After a long day of exploring the beautiful surroundings, stepping into that revitalizing shower felt like pure bliss. It’s the little things that matter, and this truly stood out to us! The kindness of the waitstaff was another highlight of our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, genuine hospitality and a rum punch. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met, whether it was recommending local dishes or accommodating special requests. It’s rare to find such attentive service, and it made our dining experiences truly memorable. Speaking of dining, the food was nothing short of excellent! Each meal we enjoyed was a delightful combination of fresh ingredients and innovative flavors. We particularly loved the octopus—it was absolutely divine! The breakfast buffet was also impressive, with a wide array of options to satisfy any palate and fresh mimosas. We also rented a cabana during our stay, and it was the cherry on top of my vacation. The water in this area was very dirty. It was not suitable for swimming or relaxing. Property should have mentioned this. We came here to enjoy turquoise blue water but beach was a great disappointment. Moreover the WiFi was not working outside the property on the beach. We couldn’t enjoy sun lounger either.
