Good Stay in Brenham during Round Top Antique Fair

Value was good, overall. Service from the front desk was very good and helpful regarding restaurants in Brenham. Room was pretty clean, but bathroom could have been cleaner. Beds were very comfortable and had the non- feather pillows requested. The air conditioner worked well. Food at complimentary breakfast was fine, although a couple of things ran out on two different days. But only one elevator would be concerning for someone in a wheelchair or unable to walk down stairs, if it was not working.

Housekeeping tried to get into my room at 7:15AM. This scared me as I thought somebody was trying to get in and rob me. Disturbing and bad form. They should know if a person has checked out already

Wet and miserable

We slept well, but everything was constantly wet in the room from humidity and moisture. Walls, desk, floor, headboard, all wet. Curtains had mildew and mold on ceiling in bathroom. Bathroom was not very clean and vent dripped water. We had the Ac running but it did not help with moisture.

The hotel looks great in the photos online, as if it is new. When you arrive you can immediately tell it is either older, or well abused by customers. The AC only went to 73 even though it was warmer outside. The carpet had a musty smell and could use a deep clean. Bathroom door caught on the floor and would not open all the way.

I have NEVER experienced the lack of service for this trip as we did. The property was overbooked, and the property called us and canceled our stay 3 days prior to arrival with no other communication. I purchased the trip insurance and reached out to Expedia and still with the chat and email from Expedia, we did NOT get our money back from either Expedia or the hotel. This is POOR customer service and someone needs to look into why the lack of communication and clarification between Expedia and the property was this bad! I do NOT recommend this property and after this, I will NOT be using Expedia!
