Limited parking space, staff is helpful and friendly, I can see lots of dog owners check in every time passing the reception. Limited resources provided inside the room which is understandable for this price range.

Very underwhelming

We came for an overnight birthday treat. My partner mentioned this at reception and wasn't even wished a happy birthday. We walked, which seemed like forever to our room. The lifts were fine but didn't take any pressure off the room distance. We went into the room which was fine but it was an extremely hot day and the room was roasting. There is no aircon in the rooms and no fans provided. The rooms at premier inns are always ready to meet the comfort of their guests depending on the weather outside. There are no plugs at either side of the bed. I called reception and asked if there were any more plugs and he was so obtuse and rude and after huffing he sent up an extension cable. This still didn'thr no plugs by the bed. We went for dinner. There wasn't much choice and we both had different dishes. We both found it very bland and expensive for what it was. I don't think we will return here, didn't feel like a 4-star hotel treat for my birthday.

Not as good as we had hoped

We stayed for one night with our 18 month old. There were only 2 pillows on the bed (couldn’t find any more in the wardrobe) and the travel cot was not the standard size (60x120) you’d normally get in hotel rooms, so the mattress we brought (because sometimes hotels do not provide a proper mattress for travel cots and it is therefore quite a hard surface) wouldn’t fit. Our daughter wouldn’t sleep in the cot. We couldn’t find a thermostat or similar that could change the temperature in the room, as it was very warm too. There were also no plugs by the bed, which nowadays is very standard. The room was, however nice and clean. I stayed in this hotel 13 years ago for a family wedding and feel it is not as good as it was then - perhaps there have been no improvements since then either. The reception areas are lovely, just a shame a few changes in the rooms would make much more of a difference. We didn’t get a chance to make use of the leisure facilities. The food was average, not reflective of the price. Sadly, we won’t be back as the hotel isn’t as “premium” as it used to be, or what we thought it would be.

Overall, our stay was good but we were very disappointed that on the 2 occasions we used the pool the jacuzzi wasn't in operation. We chose this hotel specifically for the amenities stated on the website as were there for rest and relaxation.

Unfortunately the pool was closed. We booked for the pool so it was very disappointing to be told when checking in. Apparently it was put on Facebook but I don’t use Facebook so had no way ok knowing. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Great stay at the Westerwood

Two night stay with dinner on the second night & breakfast. The selection for breakfast was terrific couldnt fault the choice.Loved the fact that the bread for toast white & brown was lovely bloomer bread.Had a two course meal in restaurant & my wife had three courses again first class.Spent some time in the pool , steam room & sauna great for relaxation. To top it all the staff & service was warm & freindly.Cant wait to go back.

We booked a suite for our family of 2 adults and 3 children. As we had seen on the Westerwood’s website that some suites have a balcony (the picture features the door to the balcony fully open for reference). We proceeded to request a room with a balcony as this was my 40th birthday, and we were granted this before arrival. I also noticed that the suite had a complimentary robes for our use. We were planning to use the swimming pool from arrival as our 5 month old baby would need to have her usual routine from dinner time onwards. Jackpot!! Fast forward to checking in at just after 3pm on the day of arrival- which was very prompt and we had a lovely member of staff inform us that we were given room 311. I was ecstatic to find out on arrival to our room that we indeed had the full balcony with gorgeous views over to the golf course. I was less ecstatic to find out

Very poor dinner service.

Nice hotel with good facilities. Room was very comfortable especially the bed. The overnight stay was spoiled by the dinner service. We sat at our table for over 20 minutes until I was required to stop a passing waitress and ask if it was possible to order our meal. A long wait for our starter then followed. Once again we had an unacceptable wait for our main course. We then asked for the cheese and biscuit selection only to be informed that they had ran out of some of the cheeses!! The hot choice for breakfast could only be described as luke-warm. The hotel really needs to review its policies on service and staff training as both meal times were far from enjoyable.

Would definitely come back but with my own pillows

Lovely and cozy place. Room was comfy and the food was very tasty. Breakfast was served until 9.45 which is great and it had lots of options including the traditional British buffet. My only negative for this stay are the pillows are the usual hotel pillows that have no firmness. They did provide extra in the room but even with 4 stacked up they sink into nothing and feel like they're not there at all.
