BUGS DO NOT STAY
BUGS DO NOT STAY!!!! We booked this hotel for 2 nights and were in room 114. First, on the morning of Feb. 24 housekeeping came in our room not once but TWICE while we were asleep without knocking. This made us very uncomfortable. But there was a bigger issue. As soon as we got in bed the first night we were itching very badly, so badly I was only able to get a hour or two of sleep. It was even worse the 2nd night. We were absolutely miserable. We went to CVS at midnight to get itching medicine. This morning when we woke up from our one hour sleep we were both covered in bites. I am talking 40+ bites all over our body. I informed the front desk and they apologized and said “they thought the previous guest snuck a dog in”. This very well may be true, but should not have been our problem. We were offered no type of refund and upon contacting Hotels.com the hotel still refused to give us any form of a refund.

Stingy with necessities
This was a last minute stay so the hotel choices were pretty slim. Check in was not a pleasant experience and that’s all I’ll say about it. Room had a funny odor (went away after a day or so) and the lights were out in the tiny tiny tiny bathroom. They were fixed by our third day. Yay! There was 1 wee little circle of soap that was far from adequate for 2 people to wash hands and shower with. I repeat, ONE TINY little bit of soap. Hey management! Two women need sufficient toilet paper! There was not.There were a FEW outlets that we had to take turns using for charging our phones,ipads,etc. The deadbolt lock did not work, the carded lock was our only security,no chain on door either. They DO NOT use hypoallergenic detergent so BEWARE if you have allergies. My friend broke out with hives on her entire body after the first night and continued to worsen every day. How miserable is that! Finally figured out the hives were caused by the sheets. No coffee in rooms or in the office. If you’re a smoker good news, this is the hotel for you! There is not a designated smoking area so it was impossible to sit at the pool, tiki bar or on the patio without cigar and cigarette smoke blown into your breathing space. On a positive note, employees were friendly,the pool was nice and it’s walking distance to the ocean and many good restaurants. But I would not stay there again.

Where not to stay in Ft. Lauderdale
Needed a Saturday night stay while in the area. Never again. Had a nicer room in some Motel 6 locations. Room was old, musty and noisy. Right across from the bar. Desk people were not overly helpful to 2 out of town people. Restaurant on location was closed for repairs. It provided a night 's sleep and a shower. Nothing much more. Pool was tiny.

Nice place for a night . Rooms were fine . Property could use a little sprucing up . Actually stung by a bee as there were a swarm of the in a light fixture by ice machine . The tiki bar was lovely for a beer and a sport event on TV . Reception staff were great and had maintenance there

The hotel in Ft Lauderdale , bathroom door couldn’t close properly, No Coffee, when checking out no one is there so you had to called, then they tell you to drop keys through the window but lastly it’s very old even the furniture needs to be updated , no ironing board and iron

Last night away
It was my second stay at this hotel and everything was good except getting woken up by individuals standing outside talking loudly at 2:15am. They continued until my wife had to go out and ask them to leave. Also I discovered a bug crawling in the room. Otherwise it was ok

Fine - no problems
We only used the room for one overnight before heading home. It was fine for that and seemed decent if you're not really picky about accomodations. It's really basic. The bar looked fun and the people seemed happy. And the front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. Really great location.
