Cute idea to stay in an old hotel. Have done it before with great results at other destinations. First, parked just outside when arriving and asked the counter clerk is it O.K. to park there, pointing out our car, while we check in and then go find the parking garage down the street? Told it's fine and then got a ticket the next second. $55.00 worth as it was a private parking lot adjacent to the hotel. Bad signage. Great trap for the lot owner! Room had no counter space, a very wet bathroom floor due to the sparse shower curtain that did not go all the way around a clawfoot tub. The tub was peeling badly from old paint or sealant? Would not dare to step inside that! Lots of gross hairs all over, including the fridge? Very, very dusty room from furniture legs to the chair rails. At a quick glance, it looked quaint, but you didn't want to look closer. Old, almost used up toilet paper roll welcomed us into the room. Broken toilet seat. I understand they're adding on rooms. Hopefully they will refurnish the existing ones as the location was very nice. Staff was gracious getting us stuff that was missing when we arrived, soap, sugar and creamer for the coffee maker and swapping towels out for fresh ones the next day. They had a nice front porch to sit on as well.

Kind hosts. Room on ground floor was super loud because of truck in the morning (very thin window). Room upstairs with bathtub was better, but bathroom not in good condition. You can tell the hotel is outdated and needs renovation. But overall fine experience.

Great location for downtown St Petersburg. Room was clean but the bed seemed like it was very old. Matress was broke down and very uncomfortable. We booked for two nights but only stayed one. I would definitely not recommend staying at this hotel.

Outlook a car park so blinds were drawn all the time. Room 102 sink cracked,shower shelf broken and a hazard. Filters needed cleaning on AC. No housekeeping in three days so bin was overflowing. Staff wonderful and bed and bedlinen perfect.

My stay was not what I had hoped for. I checked in Thursday evening and had planned to stay until Sunday, but I decided to leave early on Saturday morning. While I appreciate the historic charm of the building, the accommodations fell short of expectations. The room was uncomfortable — the bed lacked support, the linens felt rough, and only one towel was provided. The garden tub appeared appealing at first glance, but once in use, it was uneven and felt unstable, which raised safety concerns. The one highlight of my stay was the coffee, which was very good. Overall, however, the experience did not meet the standard I anticipated.

This was a great location and walking distance from good restaurants. They had a great bar, The Scott. Both bartenders were great! However, the check-in staff was not great. Both were unprofessional and rude. I didn't have a positive interaction with either. Cleanliness was so so. I split my water in the room and mopped it up with a towel. The towel came back brown...
