Good location!

Good location, close to the centre of Florence. The furniture is slightly outdated, and the beds were very thin and could use some upgrading. The included breakfast was a nice touch to start the day, as well, the consistent and timely housekeeping was appreciated. Otherwise, an okay place to stay!

Fantastic location and just minutes from the train station. The common areas of the hotel live up to what you see on the WEB, but it ends there. The actual room is shabby at best and in need of refurbishing. Will do for the normal short 1-3 day visit to Florence that most tourists do. But we were there for two full weeks. only six very small drawers, only the desk chair to sit in, 3 foot + leg lift to get in the tub and only the pipe holding the shower to hold on to. 24 hr front desk with friendly helpful service, but nothing else. Lots of places to eat within a block. At over $360 a night it seemed expensive for what you got.

I would give 5 stars, except for the A/C which cannot be controlled, no soap dish in the shower (must use the floor!), no conditioner provided in bathroom, 5% of the shower water drains onto the bathroom floor thus soaking the floor. Otherwise, a 5-star hotel with a decent breakfast and fantastic location!

Beautiful Hotel Martelli in Florence!

The room was very clean and daily housekeeping, so nice to come back to a tidy room and bed made. Employees all spoke at least enough English to accommodate a non Italian speaker. They have an arrangement with a taxi service and were kind enough to book a taxi for my very early flight (7am). Excellent location in the heart of the city center and with a very good price.

A little gem!

It’s a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. So traditional and yet has all you need! The staff were really lovely and kindly spoke English to us! The breakfast was perfectly Italian and they had little chocolate eggs out for us on Easter Sunday which was cute! The hotel is like a maze! Huge, and you feel part of the Florence history trying to work out where your room is , passing through little areas set up like dining rooms! I stayed with my 13 year old daughter and she said it was very fancy, and loved the chandeliers!
