Great location.
Walking distance to downtown. Clean, good comfort. No complaints. Good location at the end of the town, far enough from crowds and close enough to walk to bars and restaurants.

Not for light sleepers
This motel (yes, it's definitely a motel and not a hotel) is fine for the price. It's clean enough and I'm ok with bare bones. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room in the back as there's lots of street noise. If you are there on a Monday morning, you'll also hear the trash pick up. The walkways are outside so you'll also hear your neighbors walking by.

We were given a double queen beds with dirty sheets. This made it feel sketchy. The vents, floors, floor boards were all dirty. It made me wish I had brought slippers from home. When my wife complained to the front desk. Milly tried her best to make the situation better. That's why we're have it a one star. The manager however should not be dealing with the public. She was rude and aggressive with an elderly women. She made it seem offering breakfast was doing us a favor because it was complimentary. When confronted by the elderly customer why they had run out an hour before the end time the manager snapped and said she could just stop doing it if customers were going to complain. If you are going to offer a complimentary pastry and coffee make sure there is enough. There is no need to be rude and act like you are doing us a favor. The other front desk person said oh brother, threw her pen and rolled her eyes. Also the phone in our room didn't work, a lamp didn't work and the security cameras are decorative. Buyer beware.

Places like the Solvang Village center is very close and walkable from this hotel and location and ease of access wise we felt that this hotel was very good. We went here close to Christmas Day and due to the proximity of the hotel to Solvang’s main attractions, we were able to walk around and enjoy the Christmas lights and spend a lot of time here. In terms of the hotel itself, the rooms felt very old (room was clean though) with old furniture, old chairs in the patio etc. One thing that we liked was the bath tub. The bath tub was pretty cool with a small jacuzzi kind of setup in the bathtub and it was very relaxing after a long day of walks around town. In limited, quantity muffins, pastries were available as complimentary breakfast. Parking was good and there was ample space for parking.
