My family stayed one night before our cruise at this hotel. Very friendly. Room was a normal hotel room. Very comfortable and clean. I had not requested a handicap room because i had only broke my leg 1 month before our stay but seeing I was on a knee scooter the clerk gave me the closest room to the lobby on the first floor. Very considerate! Would stay there again if we visit Charleston in the future.

Not as I had hoped
The first room was nice. Smelled very strongly of mold. First room that we were given, the TV did not work. So we moved rooms. The new room also smelled strongly of mold. We bought air freshener. One of the lights and outlets did not work. The shower/bath water took forever to get warm and then had next to no pressure. The shower head only worked on one strong massage setting. The breakfast was an average hotel breakfast.

Customer service was great at check in. Rooms and shower were terrible. Musty/mildew smell that never went away….shower pressure and hot water are non-existent. Highly recommend paying a little more $ at one of the nearby hotels. We had needed two rooms this stay, and wanted to save a little money. Not worth it! Location is great, though.

Room/Hotel so humid!
The overall hotel and room were nice, breakfast was good, and unbeatable location. Only bad point was the AC. I have no idea why but the entire hotel was set to 65F in the middle of summer! (During winter I set my heater to 72/74F). Of course with the temperature difference (96F+ outside) and poor insulation this resulted in having condensation inside the hotel, our room was so humid that water was dripping on walls and ceiling, impossible to keep anything dry inside the room. Just stop this non-sense, no-one enjoy a 65F temperature! Environment will thank you and you'll appreciate your next energy bill!
