Superior service! Excellent friendliness! Fabulous food for dinner and breakfast! Spacious and clean rooms. Extremely comfortable bed! The Lake Hotel - Killarney

We had an absolutely amazing and wonderful stay at the Lake Hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great accommodations in Killarney! We booked our stay late as we changed our travel details very last minute and didn’t have much time and didn’t know what to expect. The check in was very smooth and staff was ever so friendly. Our room was beyond our expectations with a view overlooking the lake. We had dinner and drinks in the bistro and again, did not disappoint! Food and staff were top notch! The next morning we had breakfast in the main restaurant and was given a choice of either buffet or a la carte. Again, beautiful setting with exceptional attentive staff! All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, who wants to stay outside a town but still close and with easy access to hiking and walking trails.

Enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel

Whilst you could say the hotel could do with an update, this would detract from it’s wonderful charm and the feeling you get of enjoying a stay that you can imagine was similar to that enjoyed by the gentry of yesteryear. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and benefited from a stunning lake view.

This hotel stay was just what we needed in the midst of a busy travel schedule. The grounds are stunning and the hotel is out side of the city hustle and bustle. Nestled on the stunning lake with breathing views. The room we stayed in was large and spacious with a tub and balcony. This is a must stay in Killarney.

Beautiful Killarney Stay

Lovely hotel in a great location

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location with gorgeous views. Breakfast was fantastic and great musicians playing in the evenings. They also make great cocktails. We just had one evening meal there which was quite disappointing, chicken wings and seafood linguini were both very bland. We might have just got unlucky with our choice. Love the work the hotel is doing to be more sustainable, particularly replacing water in the rooms with water stations around the hotel. However, I was shocked and disappointed to see disposable coffee cups left out for guests to take from the restaurant after breakfast given Killarney is working so hard to replace disposal cups with keep cups. The only time I saw a disposable cup while in Killarney was around the hotel. Easy to solve, just have keep cups with a deposit for guests.

Amazing time at The Lake Hotel

I had an amazing time at The Lake Hotel! The room was the perfect size and the beds were very comfortable. We had a view of the lake and a beautiful sunset every night. It was in walking distance of the Killarney National Park and Muckross House. The city was a short drive from the hotel. Only thing is we did not have A/C in our room and it was hot during our stay. We had a fan but it did not make a difference. It was not supposed to be so warm during the time we were there but we were fortunate to have a beautiful week in Ireland.
