Fabulous historic hotel with some truly wonderful and giving staff. From the “bellhops”, bar and restaurant staff to the concierge nothing was too much trouble for them. Balcony room looking over the pool quite small for two with luggage, but it is an old building.
Only letdown were a couple of miserable receptionists on our last day. Rude, unhelpful and obviously did not want to be there. Everything seemed like a bother to these particular two, spent a lot of time on the phone and ignored everyone else when doing so, not even an acknowledgment you were there or a smile. Such a shame a simple thing like this can spoil a fabulous hotel in, what is for us, a once in a lifetime trip.
