6/10 不錯

The rate for this hotel is presumably based on its location. The same hotel in Mt. Pleasant would likely cost less than 1/2. Overpriced for what you get, but the location is within the Charleston Historic District. Room is adequate, but nothing fancy - typical room you'd see at any reputable hotel chain. The balcony was very tiny and overlooked the top of a gas station. Walls paper thin - had to call front desk to control noise in adjacent unit. Annoying noise also coming from rooftop air conditioner compressor. Told if we had handicap sticker no need to pay for Valet Parking but was charged $130.00 for 3 days which manager eventually reversed. Kudos to the restaurant manager who empathized with the concerns we had regarding the Valet Parking and offered a free breakfast. If we visit Charleston again would not pay $400+ / night and likely would stay at a hotel just outside the city (5–10-minute ride to attractions in city). There are plenty of parking garages near the attractions. Boone Hall is out of the city and would require driving anyway. For restaurants there are many on the very close outskirts of Charleston for just a light meal outside of the city that are reasonably priced. Charleston restaurant prices seem to rival New York City. This is a pricey place to visit and somewhat caters to the elite who don't pay attention to the cost. A very lovely city and well worth visiting but plan your itinerary in a smart way that avoids the exorbitant tourist prices.
