January weekend stay
Decent place to stay while in town for Volleyball tournament. Reasonably priced, clean, friendly staff. Only issue was the outside entry as opposed to a lobby entry. I knew it was like that when I reserved but it was January and quite cold but I’d still stay here again. Also, parking garage is tight. I have a Jeep wrangler with a 2.5 lift and I had a couple inches to spare. Just FYI. I’d stay here again.

What an absolute GEM!!
What a gem! We needed a place to stay for a week at Christmas that had that magic mix of great reviews, an ocean view, and most crucially, an absolute rockin' price. We found it at the Red Roof PLUS+ hotel in VA Beach. The Pluses: * Customer service was amazing! Staff was a joy to deal with and very concerned with our satisfaction and comfort. They should all be proud of their service (the girl that checked us in was a rock star!). * The room was great! Comfortable, clean, nicely appointed, and well kept. It's an older hotel, but our room had been nicely updated recently and did not feel its age at all. Very spacious and comfortable. We paid a little extra for an ocean view, and it was well worth it! The balcony had a wonderful ocean view that we enjoyed every morning. Biggest pluses: PRICE! An absolutely outstanding value. LOCATION! steps - and I mean steps - from great food, shopping, and the beach, oceanfront, and boardwalk. The Neutrals (no negatives IMO): * It's an old hotel. That's not bad - it just is what it is. But it has been well maintained by a staff and owner that obviously care and love the place. * Parking is tricky, but manageable. * Breakfast choices were lean because it's the off season. However, we were able to eat every morning, and that was a plus! I hear the "in season" breakfast is kickin'! Bottom line: it's earned its good rating. Safe, comfortable updated rooms, great staff, near the ocean, and affordable. 5 STARS. We will be returning!

Not bad considering
For starters they didn’t give me the correct room I booked. I was suppose to have a view of the ocean but they gave me a room that was on the road side and it was extremely loud. Other people there were also extremely loud and I could hear everything. The room was clean beds were really nice and comfy. It looked a little run down on the outside. Breakfast was ok. It didn’t have a good selection but I was over happy with it. The lady in front desk was very understanding and she did her best to accommodate me and I am thankful. I ended up changing hotels just cause I had such a bad experience starting off. Price wise it was good priced and location was really good. I still would recommend even with a bad experience.

The host were nice. The breakfast area was good but the parking was crazy, also thought there more food options and it was really cold soon as you walk outside to either leave or go get breakfast. We thought the hotel was an inside hotel but other than that it was a good place
