The room, we stayed in family room, and there was barely any space to turn around, the bathroom - you needed to wait around 15-20 minutes till warm water started. Curtains especially in that room where we stayed need to be replaced or washed A part of it, the hotel itself (or enter the hotel ) pretty clean

We had an amazing time here. The owners were a pleasure to work with. It was very comfortable and in a great location. Easy walking distance to the Winter Gardens. If I make it back to Blackpool, I will definitely stay here again.

Average

Very basic. Could hear girls arguing late at night from one if the rooms. Woke up at 630 as could hear other guests taking showers and music/tv from close rooms. Room was clean but very dated

2/10 Poor

We needed a hotel for two nights due to the all inclusive hotel we had booked for five nights having to close until the Tuesday so it was a bit of a panic booking. In respect of the Oxford hotel I’m sad to say this place is not fit for purpose the whole hotel needs major renovations and refurbishment, outdated rooms dirty carpets a tiny shelf with a kettle and two dirty cups 70s style en suite tiny shower cabinet held together with lumps of silicone. The breakfast consisted of overcooked bacon overcooked eggs greasy sausage cold beans and paper thin toast and if you like butter then you will be disappointed it was a tub of heavenly buttery not even utterly buttery placed on the table. I understand these are new owners but they really need to up their game.

When I turned up at the hotel after booking it 2 hours previously there was no one around on reception, after ringing the bell numerous times a man eventually appeared…first of all he didn’t have no knowledge of the booking and after consulting his laptop eventually saw my booking and gave me the key to room 11. The hotel was dead quiet I never saw or heard anyone around ….a tad eerie if you ask me anyway I ventured up to room 11 and found the single bed not made up, tv didn’t work (signal trouble) and no mug for a cuppa….only good thing was the shower was ok! I did phone the number that was left in reception if you had any issues which is fine but if nobody bothers to answer then what is the point of that. Thankfully I only stayed one night and when I did check out there was no one around at 10am so I left the keys in the box which was located on the wall. I would NOT recommend anyone staying here!!

Terrible

The place was filthy and I phoned you from the Hotel and someone phoned me and was going to do something for us and then hung up he phone never to be heard of again. I have never spent a place like that in my life and because we could not get 5 rooms we had to stay there. The did change or room which was not much better on the top floor. I had notified the hotel before I got here to say I had a mobility scooter so as you can imagine the top floor was not the best for me. I am very disappointed on the service from yourselves as I had no were to turn. I would advice you not to recommend this hotel. The music went on to early in the morning. The also said here card machine was not working and would like cash I did not do that but did a bank transfer to a private account I think it was the owner. The receipt I got was a hand written one not even headed paper and no vat number. As far as I am concerned there was something not quite right with everything in this Hotel and I will also think twice before using yourselves again because of the lack of help. I have been ill since I came home and that is why i am only being able to tell you the problems. If you need anymore info you can phone or email me if you can do anything to stop people going there . The Hotel was disappointing put my case on top of wardrobe when I took it down it was white with dust, The windows were filthy you couldn’t see out and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been hoovered. The staff were friendly and helpful but the cleanliness was terrible

New Oxford , honest review.

The hotel is a bit worn but the owners have only owned it for eight weeks and told us they are doing major refurb soon, it was clean and tidy and all the staff were very good at there duties, the breakfasts were very good and the bar and cabaret were first class overall we both enjoyed our stay.

It was not as described on hotel. Com The room had not been cleaned and a old pizza box left with food on top of wardrobe. Locks not safe very outdated rooms . Breakfast was ok but needs better quality as was cheap food. But the service was excellent amd they couldnt do enough.. They have new owners only been opened 3 weeks and are trying their best spoke to new owner and we think when all rooms have been renivated and downstairs too will be a good place to stay. The owner apologised for the cleaning and was rectifying it and could not of been more helpful . Downside is parking can drop off but had to go quite away to get parking as the near by one was full . Location if not driving is excellent.

Stay Clear

Booked this hotel as other family members had booked we had three rooms and each of us had similar problems. On arrival opened curtains to see an alley way littered with old furniture. The room and bathroom where in need of refurbishment there where holes in the walls. The only positive thing I can say is the bed was clean and comfortable. The hotel was generally noisy. Thankfully the weather was good as we left the hotel early and never returned until late at night. So glad that I had used my rewards night and didn’t pay full price.

On arrival we were greeted by a woman with 2 kids who didnt smile or say hello. A man appeared didnt say his name just the keys passed. Entered the room and found dirty cups and shelf. Hair crips on floor and other people's rubbish in the wardrobe.... very noisy at all times.
