Smelled SO strong of sulfur constantly but good location and breakfast was awesome. Great service overall and easy parking!

The receptionist was distracted by whomever (definitely and guy and it looked to me like one of the security guys) and was not welcomy or interested in my needs and wants at all.
I didn't get to organising breakfast as that just looked like a bridge too far for her and i was tired (9.15 check-in) and just want ed to sleep.
All in all I thought she was unemployable.

The staff at Rydges were wonderful! The room was comfortable but very out-dated and needs an upgrade. comfortable bed.

Our stay was amazing. We went fishing in the Ngongotaha River and stay at the Rydges Hotel, which was not far away from where we wanted to fish.

Great views overlooking the hot springs. Very nice room. Hotel in general is a little old and worn but nicer on the inside than on the outside. Good breakfast but the dinner buffet was not worth the money.

Check in was excellent, very warm welcome. . Loads of parking and a very friendly receptionist found me a room so I could check in early.
Room was very dated and needs redecorating. Broken tiles in bathroom, terrible tap, old worn carpet and lots of damage to walls. Bed was clean and comfortable.
My room on third floor was above the loading dock so at 11pm I was woken by wheelie bins being loaded, then from around 6am, noisy trucks were arriving with load reversing signals and general unloading noises. Walls in room were very thin, as I could near a baby crying and general snoring. A minor hiccup on check out as the receptionist tried to charge me for someone else’s room, but she apologised and it was resolved within 5 mins.

Location was excellent for our needs being close to the Māori village and redwood forest. There is a strong sulphur smell though throughout the hotel.
Plenty of parking.

Full service hotel away from the tourist center of Rotorua but close to the natural and cultural gems. We loved the pool but hot tubs were closed. Restaurant is pricey but convenient. Room was not sparkling clean fine- must be hard to maintain crisp white porcelain in a sulphur springs location.

Fantastic location at the entrance to the Whakarewarewa thermal village. Our room had a superb view of the hot springs and village. Slight smell of sulphur but you quickly get used to it. Breakfast buffet was great, lots of choice. Wanted to try thermal pool but it was too busy.

we stayed here for two nights. Whilst check-in was quick, we were simply given a piece of paper and told to scan a QR code to find out more about the facilities andquickly ushered on. The hotel itself is a little tired looking, and that comes through in the older model room and bathroom. That being said the bed was extremely comfortable and it was quiet in the room. It is very family friendly (we are a couple) and whilst we could’ve used the pool and hot tub, the many running around kids kind of put us off. The location was good - we went to a local spa on one day and also went to the Māori experience as well. The breakfast seemed to be fresh and tasty, although not much variety over the couple of days that we were there.
