Perfect stop for a quick trip
Perfect for a basic overnight stay. Space was clean and well maintained. Noticeable updating but that’s a good thing. Only real issue for me was that folks next to me kept letting their door slam closed, not the hotels fault.

Comfortable stay
I was in for a quick overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The parking lot was well lit and I could see and start my car from my room. Perkins was an easy walk across the parking lot. Kwik Trip is an easy 2 minute drive away.

Cold...
The rooms have baseboard heaters which did not work. Switched us to a room across the hall, the room was still very cold with those baseboard heaters working. They should upgrade their heating. Will not stay here again during the cold months.

I would stay here again when I go back up to Duluth, which is quite often as I am house hunting! It has all I need, nice staff, super comfortable bed and pillows, great shower/tub, big screen direct tv, the usual desk, fridge, etc., and cleaner than the last 3 star place I stayed at near the airport. Yes, it's noisy, because it's older, but there are also two fans, one in the bathroom, and one big one on the exterior wall, so that problem is solvable with some brains; the traffic outside is very minimal, the neighborhood is fine and the breakfast is great considering this is a Super 8 guys and they have nice Jimmy Dean hot breakfast sandwiches and lots of other great choices. I prefer fruit, yogurt, toast (fabulous bread), juice, 24/7: coffee & their tea selection is truly awesome.... hot cocoa, hot tub... forgot suit...next time. :) thanks!

I have stayed at a lot of hotels this past year so my standards are higher. This hotel is excellent for the price. I've stayed at 3 hotels in this price range this year and this one was the best one out of all of them. The room was clean and well kept and the staff was very friendly and kind. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The blanket, however, was thin, but you could ask for more if needed. I will note that there was highway noise and you can hear other peoples' doors open and close from the room at 5am. This must be reflected in the price. I am very happy with what we got for the price. We stayed at another hotel in Duluth in the same price range and it was very dark, dingey, unkempt, and run down. This place was more modern (I'm sure it hasnt been renovated in 10 years but it was still much better than the dark one). I would most definitely stay again, but only for the price we got it or cheaper as we have a usual hotel we stay at and if this was more expensive I'd just go for my other one. I was very pleased with this hotel and it is budget friendly.
