The hotel was run down and not as the pictures appear. Will not stay there again. This may sound odd to put in a review, but the towels were not even quality towels. They were cheap towels that did not coordinate with one another. It just did not feel safe nor clean. They have the big tropical birds in the lobby, but some of them were losing their feathers and it just did not seem like it’s with sanitary having the birds there.

Meh Room but Great Pool

The room was clean but outdated. It was so hot and stuffy when we walked in - the ac did work but the wall unot took awhile to cool the room down. The TV cable was not working and there were no streaming options, not great when traveling with a child. The highlight was the pool which was great. Restaurant on-site was convenient and pretty good

Older hotel, but conveniently located

This is definitely an older, motor Lodge style hotel. I’ve heard that it was a motel six many years ago that was converted to this more tiki style hotel. The pictures on the Hotels.com are a bit deceiving. It’s definitely more rundown with older carpet and furniture. It does have the benefit of a restaurant and a tiki bar Next-door. We had appetizers and cocktails at both and the food was good.

Never again!

Horrible. The TV didn’t work. There was no hot water in the shower. There was a sign that said keep food in the refrigerator and the door shut because they have a bug problem. There was a big 1 inch gap if not more underneath the door. The app gave it 8.2 stars and said the room was renovated , not true. Did not eat in their restaurants because of the state of my room, I didn’t want to

Denied Access to Rooms - Because of Pool Towels!

The main reason for my rating is not something that happened to us personally but rather something I witnessed. I was in line behind two other guests who were checking in line ahead of me. It was 4:05 pm (check-in time is a rather late 4 pm as it is) and they were told that their rooms would not be ready until after 4:30 pm because the room didn't have pool towels. Both guests said that they didn't care about the pool towels; that they just wanted to check in. One told the staff person that he just needed to change clothes before he met friends for dinner. The staff person said: "I can cancel your reservation." She said this at least three times. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Two different guests denied their rooms due to housekeeping being late with pool towels. The attitude of the staff person was shocking - no apology; the only recourse offered being cancellation of their reservations. I thought that I was going to be told the same thing, but our room was ready. Nonetheless, the experience of the two guests before me sullied our stay as well; I would not stay there again do to the shockingly rude staff. I seriously have never witnessed a worse staff member. Having said that, the pool area is pleasant; the rooms are decent but in need of some repair (our bathroom had some peeling paint), parking was convenient and the location a short drive to town. With some maintenance and staff who actually cared about their guests, this could be a nice place.

Chill Vibes

Overall my stay was great. Friendly staff and great and clean pool vibes. Only issue I had is with their restrooms. There is no vents inside the restroom to help with the steam and the window they do have there isn't no screen on it which can lead to insects entering the room. Also shower curtain did nothing to stop the water from coming out of the shower. But other than that, it was a great and friendly stay for my kids and I.
