Unpleasant check-in and uncomfortable bedding
We booked a connecting room for our family of 4 which should comprise of 2 rooms connecting together. However, the reception lady gave us a single room with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds all putting side by side with barely any space in between. We then went down to the reception to let her know the problem. Out of no where, she asked us if we need to have late check-out. We told her we don’t need late check-out and then she was trying to say something to justify. I told her I paid for a connecting room, then she started to look at the computer and found the right room for us. We felt like she was just trying to fool the customer hoping they would be settled for less. This check-in experience totally ruined our mood for staying. The bedding is very old and the blanket & pillow are very thin. The aircon cannot be adjusted for temperature / wind intensity, we can either turn it on or off. But the preset temperature is too cold and we have to turn it on and off to maintain a certain temperature which is quite annoying. With all these, did not sleep very well. WiFi is not very strong and the signal comes on and off. Good thing about the hotel is it’s close to Clark Quay and China Town which takes about 15 mins by walking. But don’t think we will come back to this hotel again.
