Location v space

The hotel is in a great location near Notting Hill, trains, buses and good restaurants. However our double room was very crammed and tight to move around. The hotel team were understanding and offered a breakfast as compensation but the lack of space was uncomfortable.

The state of accommodations in London is a shame in general. People pay money for cheap renovated and bad bed, mattress etc. It's all profit to the owner who pay staff poorly and give poor sleep quality to the guests money. The bedrooms in the basement should be illegal, it smells not fresh air, there is noise from air conditioning machine outside one room. I changed room and second one had no fresh air in and smells weird. There is also a red flashing light from a smoke alarm. Too many rooms so low quality. Even at £85 a night the bed and mattress are cheap. The beds should be better even if it was 1/3rd of tge price per night.

Stayed one night, nice very clean room on 4th floor, it was small but enough room for us 2 as we only slept there as had lots to do in London. Good shower. Every staff member we met was very friendly. Love the location and would stay again.

For what we paid and what we needed it for, it was absolutely fine! Room was dark and the window looked out into a space between another building and was covered in pigeon poo so not a view exactly. The shower and toilet were great. The kettle had seen better days. Beds were squeaky but comfy.

Very disappointing stay

The only clean area in this hotel was the reception. The hallways and rooms were outdated and in desperate need of renovation. We had booked a family room, but due to their mistake we were given two separate rooms, both very cramped. Our room was dirty, with hair in the bed, hair in the sink, and a filthy carpet. The shower head was in terrible condition, and the sink was clogged so the water wouldn’t drain. Everything feels neglected and poorly maintained — the whole place needs a complete refurbishment. I would not recommend staying here.

Good for the price

Ok for the price we paid. A little mix-up with regard to beds, but that was sorted out by the reception. We were changed to a room with easy access for disabled (to get the double bed we ordered), and this room faced a small outdoor area where the AC was placed and the seagulls were active, so a little noise. Clean and spacious (for a reasonably priced London hotel).

Nice hotel

I had a nice stay. The staff was very kind from the moment I arrived, and they stored my luggage until my room was ready. It would be nice to have a small fridge in the room. The location is great — close to restaurants and the tube.

Central location, great price!

We booked this hotel on hotels.com. It was a good price for London for 2 nights. We were a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews on here but, we were not disappointed! We had a lovely stay, friendly staff, the room was clean, comfortable bed & the location was central. The only downside was the room did not have a fridge but we would definitely stay again!
