Upon arrival it smelt a hit like an old pub . It was late and the bar I suspect had been busy. The decor was tired in reception so we were a little apprehensive, in need of a good nights sleep. We needn’t have been concerned the room although dared was clean, the bed was comfy sheets good quality and the towels too. All we needed , quiet too. In the morning a really good buffet breakfast.

Cheap for a reason

The place is cheap so if you want cheap then go for it, but everything is worn and needs replacing, the bed covered where disturbed as if someone else had been in the room and there where no fewer than 15 blue bottle flies in the room. The only car charger didn’t have any signs for it so a van was parked in the spot so I coupons plug in to charge the rental car. I left immediately and went to stay at the premier inn locally

The hotel was lovely, set in fabulous grounds. The room was lovely and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Most of the food wasn't labelled with allergens though, so had to ask. Sadly the bar was poorly stocked. Half of the pumps were off and the only snacks available were nuts. The bed and pillows were hard. The hotel served us well enough though for an overnighter on the way to a family function.

Only stayed for one night for husbands birthday and we stsyed in a suite room. On arrive staff were helpful and polite On the whole the Hotel looks dated and needs a revamp as the decor looks tired. Our room also looked tired and the curtains where torn and drab. The actual room was spacious though and bed really comfy. We had the breakfast next morning which was great but again the dining room looked in need of a decorate

My room wasn't great this time. Stayed in room 145 and it was VERY small. No plud socket near the bed and their were lost of small flies in the bathroom. Would never return

Left waiting at Reception for check-in for about 10 minutes. When the Receptionist DID turn up, there was no apology whatsoever. The room was functional. Tired and there was spots where cleaning had been missed. Curtains were ripped, bathmat was falling apart, tv didnt really host any channels, WiFi was non-existent, and no instructions as to whether there was a password anywhere within the room. Staff at breakfast looked like theyd rather be anywhere but there. Teabags were removed a minute after we arrived for breakfast at 09:30. When we asked whether they had anything, the lad brought two standard tea bags bag, as opposed to the selection which had been there moments before. Breakfast selection was decent, but the hot food did look as though it may have been there since 06:45. The best interaction we received was as we left - the receptionist was very cheerful and pleasant and wished us a good day. Overall, this could be a great hotel, but it needed a lot of attention to detail that was sadly lacking
