My wife and I had stayed in this hotel about 7 years ago and it was quite nice (4*) but upon my solo return, the place had gotten a bit run down and the rates were the highest of all 4 hotels I stayed at during my business trip. Certainly not worth the price.
There was only one place to eat (in the hotel) Mickey's Pub, I must admit, the place seemed a little "seedy" at first and definitely run down, but the atmosphere and staff were great :) the Steak Sandwich was incredibly delicious so a definite A for that pub.
But the hotel room as mentioned was old and worn and not up to the standards of the other 3 I'd stayed in for this trip. As noted my previous comments on the Days Inn in Cranbrook BC, I should have known better, because it's owned by Wyndham Hotels, who seemingly just like to run lower end hotels. See Ramada Inn Campbell River BC, the dirtiest hotel I've ever booked, to the point that I left and found another place to stay at because the former made me itch the minute I walked into the room. The fridge "percolated" all night very loudly, lucky I travel with ear plugs.
