A great location hotel. Close to lots of amenities via uber/taxi. Note that they don’t allow you to walk off hotel grounds - you must leave by taxi I guess for your safety. Ubers from here are cheap (e.g a 45min drive to the pyramids costed £5.50).
I booked room only - Upon arrival they take a deposit of £10,000 Egyptian pounds (£200gbp) I didn’t know this until I arrived, this is if you order food or damages. You aren’t allowed to bring food or drinks from outlets outside the hotel which is a tad annoying.
The rooms were clean but do need upgrading, the decor is very much 2003 and needs modernising. The bed is extremely uncomfortable as it’s very firm, pillows are softer. The bathroom is functional but again needs modernising and small touch ups like new grouting etc. for a city hotel it’s good as the pool area is small and clean, not much evening entertainment but you must remember it’s not like being on a beach resort. Food was okay on site but I ate out a lot for more of a cultural feel. Staff are very friendly and helpful, shuttle service to the airport is efficient. Very clean gym and good amount of equipment. Overall 6.5/10
