The toilet couldn’t flush. I was moved to 3 other rooms but all of them were dirty, therefore I came back to stay in the room that couldn’t flush, and the room locking has issue.

The receptionists are friendly. Aside for that, absolutely terrible... there is mold in the room!!!!! The sheets and all looked like they weren't even washed the room had no microwave, nothing but 1 towel and 1 wash cloth, the beds are hard and very uncomfortable, also, no wifi (when we were suppose too.... Its dirty, and has a musty smell to it... another disappointment, they do not provide breakfast or anything food wise, only coffee, which was disgusting as well! Also, the pool and spa is shut down. I just couldnt believe the whole thing! Very very disappointed, and would not recommend this place.

Filler valve on toilet was shot. Had to flush by filling the tank up with the ice bucket. Outside door would only latch sometimes. Door was left open by cleaners while we were out. Brought issues to the front desk and was told that we would get a discount by one worker and that a note would be left for a manager by another. Place was booked, so no other rooms were available. Needless to say, no concessions were made by management. Why would they? They made their money. Also, just stop saying you have a pool. Im willing to guess that there really arent plans to reopen it. Won't stay again.

After I got confirmation from Expedia of my booking, I got a call directly from the hotel saying they did not have a room and had to cancel the reservation. They said there must’ve been something wrong with their reservation system. I expect Spadea will make sure I am fully credited for this. Also, I would like to know why this happened. If I don’t have confidence in booking through Expedia, I will have to consider stop using the service

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times in the past and it’s been adequate for the price. Outdated but clean, hot tub/pool and breakfast. The last two times I’ve stayed here have been pretty disappointing. Both times the pool/hot tub was closed. Additionally I was charged twice for my stay last time and it took 6 weeks for them to refund me. There was no breakfast this past weekend as well (not sure if that’s a forever thing or not). The shower curtain was way too small for the shower. Water was splashed and the bathroom floor would basically flood every time you used the shower. This was unavoidable while showering. Our toilet also clogged multiple times. I’m not sure if it’s new ownership but this hotel unfortunately has taken a turn for the worse. It was also a descent place to stop after a long hike in the ADK but for the price you can find better.

Nous n’avons pas pu venir suite à des intempéries (tempête de neige dangereuse) mais l’hôtel a été très compréhensif et très rapide en réponse à notre annulation. Nous avons été remboursé sans aucun problème car nous avions prévenu la veille. Si nous avons à reprogrammer un séjour à lake placid nous ferons appel à eux sans hésiter.

If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub afterwards. After all, that’s one of the things we punched in the search criteria. Spend your money someplace else. You get what you pay for and I learned the hard way on this place.
