Employee at check in was ok. All other staff was excellent throughout our stay. Room appeared to be clean, with the exceptions of candy wrappers on floor and hand print all over the headboard. Looked like whomever stayed there before had a really good time. I keep some Lysol wipes so I didn’t bother calling housekeeping. Carpet looked fresh and clean. There was no soap in the bathroom whatsoever ever. The room didn’t have any bad smells. the tub was really slick with no traction. Shower curtain was clean. The air condition was not loud at all. The toilet paper holder was in a really weird place. water pressure was great. The bed was extremely comfortable. I believe that this hotel is in need of a small upgrade. Sheets and curtains were stained. Lamps, Lights and sink fixtures were corroded. Walls were chipped and had stains on them. Some things need to be replaced. We went down for breakfast, (8:30ish) housekeeping had marked us as checked out. So someone walked in on us after we returned. Housekeeping was LOUD in the morning, I felt it was very inconsiderate and would have been very mad if I wasn’t already awake. There was a loud commotion late in the night, I called the front desk. Seemed to handle the situation. If these things are fixed this will be a very nice hotel, but if not it’s going to go downhill quickly I fear. Breakfast was very enjoyable. The food was fresh and the attendant was very nice, helpful and kept everything very clean.

Over all, a good place to stay. Our trip was for a concert at The BJCC. Very convenient to I-20, and just a short trip into downtown Birmingham. I would stay again.

Breakfast was a joke. The front desk attendant was coughing a lot, covering with her hand and touching everything including my I.D., credit card, and room keys. The beds were comfortable. One of the rooms, the remote didn't work.

Smelled like a sewer
Our room smelled so bad. It smelled like a sewer. Online picture was not accurate of our room. Our room was run down. The pillows were small. Maybe 12x12. I have sofa cushions that are bigger.

My total stay there was two nights in the experiences, pretty good except for my last night there when I totally got stopped up, and I literally had to unstop myself and all that would call a maintenance man to come in and service itself. You know still have a clogged up and clogged up it doesn’t work flush. It never did start there so they should’ve had fixed it all the way around the board before I ever had the room to me.

Well did not know you had to request early arrival? It was 12:30 but check-in was 3:00. We will do so moving forward. Driving 10 hours plus and not being able to lay down was like torture.

Fine for a short stay.
It’s a dated but perfectly functional hotel. You get what you pay for. Staff was friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was 4/10 but again what do you expect for 75 bucks. Beds were comfortable. Very little noise. Area was safe and convenient. Ideal for a road trip stop over.
