Not the best
The hotel seemed to be clean and the breakfast/cafe area was very nice. Staff was friendly. They are in the middle of renovating and and we got a 'renovated' room. For some reason, they decided to replace blackout curtains with flimsy white vinly blinds that block Zero light while sleeping! It was awful! Our kids kept waking up thinking it was almost morning when it was still the middle of the night. We were all exhausted the next day. Also, the renovations looked like they were done by my 9yo. I cant believe Holiday Inn is ok with how this room was redone and put together. I will not be staying at Holiday Inns again if this is what I can expect.

Not staying there again
Had difficulty checking in thru mobile device. I called our hotel few days prior to stay to ask if pool was open/usable and informed yes new heater was put in few days ago. During our stay, pool temperature was cold and hot tub water was murky brown color. My kids found half eaten candy on window sill and cookies under the bed when we arrived in room. Had planned to watch NFL playoff game but could not because hotel did not have FOX available to watch. Lack of wall outlets in room, couldn’t use plug-in nightlight for kids. Tried to use room phone to call front desk, phone line unplugged and once connected received busy signal when dialing front desk for help. Biggest complaint, broken elevator for past 2 years and how it’s not a priority to repair accordingly to hotel employee. Quit being so cheap and fix it for better guest experience at hotel with 4 floors of guest rooms.

Putrid water
During my stay there was a family or a couple of families that were together that had eight kids ranging between the ages of 2 to 4 to my estimate. They were all running around being a pain in the butt to myself and other swimmers in the hot tub spraying water with there noodles. It occurred to me as I was sitting in the hot tub that it had gone from clean looking water to a really putrid milky green look. When I asked the front desk lady about it she was very nonchalant ( albeit overworked) and said yeah when we have a lot of kids and they wear the Little swimmers and they fill up with water and pee and whatever else and start to leak it really makes a mess. Will probably shock it in the morning and it will be okay. I was like, so with all these toddlers in swim diapers there's an active chance that with the color of the water it's got some really serious health concerns. There could be active poop water and you're not going to close it or at least tell the parents to remove their children? In the morning it was no better and it was still open and they were stealing allowing people to go into the hot tub with the putrid milky green water.

Overall I thought my stay was very comforting. The room was clean and comfortable. Coffee was a bit cold but breakfast was good. The condition of the hotel seems to have gone down since I last stayed here. Both the room felt outdated and the interior and exterior of the hotel seemed outdated and in rough shape. As in cracks/holes in the ceiling, the Lowe's drywalling still on walls.

Almost 5 stars
I would give 5 stars but the bathroom was unsatisfactory. The bathroom fan did not work, the lighting was very poor, the water backed up when showering and the grout and tub appeared dirty. Customer.service 5 stars. The staff was excellent. Overall appearance good. Kids loved the pool and hot tub.
