Dated but seems typical of Alaska

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was very small for 2 adults with 3 suitcases. The view of the river and mountains was wonderful. I am glad we did not select the courtyard view since the courtyard was a dark hallway between the individual unit entries on either side. Great place for the price. The heater was adequate for the 45 degrees from last night, but it may be weak on colder nights.

Good value and location in Talkeetna

The hotel was within walking distance of downtown, but it was quiet. (We didn't hear the band playing in the downtown park.) The hotel provided coffee in the lobby, but no formal breakfast. There was a bar and the Batman was kind enough to provide ice. Our room was small, but adequate.

Motel is Neat, clean and quiet but cramped.

This is an older place and pretty tight quarters. No heat or A/C except for a wall heater and a fan. The single bed was comfortable just a little cramped. The folks were very nice and the area is beautiful, right on the river which was flooding while I was there. Not meant for anyone with physical issues. Town was very unusual.

Greit sted i herlig landsby

Bodde her to netter før vi dro opp til Talkeetna Fishing Lodge. Et helt OK enkelt hotell som ligger i en fantastisk herlig liten småby med kun hovedgaten som er asfaltert. Små flotte butikker butikker og puber og mulighet for turer i nærområdet. Egen hage med 30 sek. gange ned til elven.

No hot water and walls were buckling

We paid almost $200 and it esd horrible! There was no hot water in the evening and the entire next day because they had only partially filled the oil and ran out so by 1p the next day we were told we can go to the laundry mat around the corner to shower so we left- so rude! The room was the size of a closet 8’x8’ with 2 twin beds that filled the room so there was no floor space. Every wall paneling was all buckled, the beds were old and lumpy, pillows were terrible and towels were tiny. There bar in the photos looks large but it’s so tiny and since they close the lobby where you could sit at 8p and there’s no TV in the room you’re literally stuck sitting in a closet. Also there’s a wood deck walkway so you hear the clocking of boots on your head if anyone walks anywhere. Wouldn’t stay there if they offered a room for free.

Awesome property at an amazing river side location. The hotel has lots of game options and the Restaurant/Bar has a pool table which we enjoyed playing during our stay. Highly recommended!!

It was perfect for us. Our room was clean, the staff were welcoming and so very helpful. The location was close to town. Then you had the trail behind the inn to the river and if you’re lucky you can see the mountain. (We were).

A hidden gem

This place is a gem. It is right on the river and out of the busy part of Talkeetna but still within a short walk of all the restaurants and downtown. The staff are amazing and the room was very comfortable.
