Sad to say...poor stay
We were in town for 5 nights to be with family. Since we lived in Fenton for many years we were familiar with the hotel and the fact that it used to be a Drury. (which we would not have booked this particular one) Looking at reviews and knowing usually Wyndham has a good product we chose the Heritage Inn for our 5 night stay. This hotel has not had much done to it if anything in the way of updating/remodeling. Our 1st room had no heat, 2nd room the mixing valve in the shower was not working so either scalding or freezing water. And then the toilet started leaking all over the floor. On to our 3rd room which seemed to make it through ok. The shampoo was also the body wash (the one time I didn't travel with my own). I seldom write a negative review, almost always a positive one. However, until Wyndham does something to improve this location I would avoid it!!!!

I booked two nights, and on the final morning the hotel texted me options to check out later for a fee. At 9:30 am I selected a 1pm checkout, only to have the hotel staff show up at my door at 11:30 saying they “didn’t know about that” and that the text was “from corporate” and had “nothing to do with them” so I was given 15 minutes to shower and leave. But they did acknowledge that it was from their company, they just didn’t know about it. Either way, I was told to leave.

Disgustingly filthy
It was terrible. Extremely dirty. Bed linens were disgusting, with food and trash and everything. When we pulled back the bed, we saw all the gross things. Clearly the sheets weren’t changed. The front desk gave me a new room, and if it hadn’t been so late- I would have changed hotels. I asked for a manager and was told the manager wouldn’t be in until 9:00 am the next day. When I asked if they could be called, I was told no. Soni asked for a call back from the manager & now 2 days later, I have received no call.

Won't be staying there again.
Work staff and assistant mgr were nice and helpful as much as possible. GM was rude and would make obnoxious comments of customers when he thought he was out of ear shot. Property had recently changed hands. I tried this new company because I enjoyed previous visits. Boy have the standards fallen. Shotty repairs. Staff isn't empowered to help guests. Food quality and stocking is poor. Very disappointed.

Meticulously clean and superb breakfast!
This place was outstanding from check in to checkout. They were in the midst of changing ownership however, I would not hesitate to stay here again and have already booked another stay. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was meticulously clean, and the breakfast superb!

Please skip this place, keep looking!!
This was an unfortunate experience to end 2024. What my family didn't know until we checked in was this hotel was recently purchased by a new company, so all of the hotels.com reviews before November 2024 were when the hotel had different ownership. Hence the fals good rating.The new owners have not invested in the property so on every turn something was out, broken, or doesnt exist. There is no cable- so if your tv works you get five channels, the whirlpool was broken, the rooms have lots of moisture so it smelled like mildew, the food was mediocre, there are signs in the lobby saying you must only eat in the lobby due to pest control ( tells you alot), and there is no soap in the bathroom dispensers - so you have to ask for a ton of soap samples. If you try and voice a concern to the front desk they would first misled you and say technicians are not available during the holiday season (Nov-Jan), argue with you, or call a colleague and talk about you like your not there. However, they will not try and make things right. They have "policies in place that do not allow them to help you. BUT they wish they could." This location is not serious about the hotel business and are more interested in hanging out with each other. Please do "me" a favor and keep looking for another property where you can be safe and happy. You will be glad you did. I WILL NEVER recommend staying here to a human...however I will recommend that hotels.com please stop promoting this property ASAP.

Dont come with expectations
Cheap 1 cup coffee maker in the room that required special 1 cup bags and they only offered decaf. Went down at 5 for coffee, it was stone cold and from the night before. I was told someone would be in at 6 to make fresh. Furniture in our suite did not match. There was no table and chairs to eat at. See pictures. Couch stained. No channel guide in the room and front desk said they dont have any. Only 3-4 channels on the tv. MTV, HALLMARK, and 2 others no local. Breakfast was doable. I would have loved to attatch photos but this sight wouldn't let me.

Disappointing
We got to the room and one of the beds was unmade. We were so tired we stayed anyway but when we woke up we found A towel that had been folded and put on the rack had brown smears on it. Spills on the hall floor. I was really disappointed.

3 night business trip
Poorest stay in years. No coffee in room. Hot water in sink has to run 45 seconds to get hot. No soap. Liquid dispensers empty. Front desk said coffee back ordered and changing dispenser soap to another kind. At 4:30a in the morning the 24 hr lobby coffee was cold. At check in staff stepped away from me to look at a picture on a phone. Was poor form. I stay 50 nights a year and the little things matter. Breakfast was hit and fine and I tipped the attendants each day. Not their fault the rest of the stat was subpar.
