Osaka and related destinations

Between the neon-lit Dotonbori district and majestic Osaka Castle lies a city that takes food more seriously than most nations take foreign policy. The covered arcades of Nipponbashi offer everything from manga to electronics, while locals debate which street vendor makes the definitive takoyaki. Universal Studios Japan delivers theme park thrills, but the real adventure happens at Kuromon Market where vendors slice fish with surgical precision. The Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan houses whale sharks in tanks so vast you'll question your place in the universe. After dark, join salary men unwinding over kushikatsu – deep-fried skewers that demand respect for the 'no double-dipping' rule.

Centara Grand Hotel Osaka

Centara Grand Hotel Osaka

10/10 Excellent
"We couldn't have asked for a better home base for our time in Osaka. Our Deluxe Room with 1 King Bed on the Rei Premium Floor was genuinely spacious — easily fit two large suitcases and two carry-ons with plenty of room left to move around comfortably. No cramped hotel-room shuffle here! The blackout shades deserve a special mention. They were incredibly effective and made a real difference for getting quality, uninterrupted sleep every night — something that matters so much when you're out exploring all day. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable. Dotonbori was just a short walk away for food, shopping, and nightlife, and the nearest train station was equally convenient, making it effortless to get around Osaka and beyond. The room itself was spotless, and the amenities on the Rei Premium Floor went above and beyond what we needed. Every detail felt thoughtfully taken care of. We'd stay at Centara Grand Hotel Osaka again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city — whether for the prime location, the comfort, or just a genuinely great night's sleep."

"This is a really big restaurant with so many travelers from different countries. Everything goes smoothly during check in and out. Convenient transportation but still very hard to find everywhere, that’s due to this complicated area. The restaurant is fine, but next time I would like some quiet area. Unlike many same standard restaurants, they didn’t offer bottled water and cosmetic products."
