Untrained Front Desk double charged for room
The hotel was beautiful and clean. My problem was I was charged for the room upon arrival, I prepaid in the app. So i was double charhed. When she asked for my card I assumed it was for valet until a charge for over $220 appeared on my bank card, I questioned why, they apoligized but would not refund my money. I asked for receipt proof, an email something, started getting the run around was told my money would be refunded in 3-21 days with no receipt. I refused to leave front desk without something in writing of the charge and refund, a call was placed to a manager to ask permission to do this..weird..but ok finally after all that they agree to give me an email (which i got immedietlely) as to their mistake as my proof. I stood there until the email arrived. I was given a comp breakfast for 2 for my trouble..my xtra $228 trouble. Funny how they can take the money so quickly but cant refund it the same when it was their mistake. Such a shame because the hotels beautiful just not sure Im willing to go thru this again. Now we will see if and when I get this refund
