Check in was a disaster. My wife and I booked a room with a King size bed for our anniversary. When we arrived, they informed us that they no longer had any king size beds available. They try to convince us that upgrading to a double bed would be in our best interest. SMH! They let us know that the hotel was 100% booked and it was our only option. So my wife and I slept in separate beds on our anniversary. As a consolation, they waived the resort fees for our stay. But I still had to deal with a "not so happy" wife because of our sleeping arrangements. The manager claimed that the mix-up was because of us booking with a third party as opposed to booking directly with the Marriott.
On the other hand, the hotel was wonderful. The rooms were clean, the pool was nice. The beach was amazing and everything else went well. overall the hotel had everything we were looking for except for a king size bed.
