Mediocre Mini-vacation with amazing staff

The staff is really great although in my opinion they were completely under staffed. Poor employees were literally running around. One person doing the job of 3 people. We really appreciated the Birthday goodies left in our room (which we didn’t request and who knows how they knew). I’ve stayed there before about 5 years ago. The place looks run down. Needs cleaning and fresh paint in the stairwells. Also, they now charge for parking. ($15 per night) The elevators were boiling hot. The rooms’ cabinets wouldn’t close shut. The pool had limited seating for only about 20 guests at most. There was visible water damage on our bathroom door and on the rooms wall and ceiling. On our last day there were big insects DEAD on the floor! Only ONE ice dispenser for the whole hotel. Complimentary Happy Hour was limited to 2 drinks per person as before it was unlimited. The snacks were enjoyed by all. Their menu in the complimentary breakfast gets a 10! But not enough staff to get the long lines down. The size of the rooms get a 10. The staff gets a 20! The condition of the hotel is not up to par for Embassy Suites = 4.5. The location is a 10 (plenty of restaurants and stores close by) Alexis the hotel employee (maybe manager) was super friendly and did the best she could and gave her all (again…one employee doing the work of at least 3 people) and I commend her for that!

Extremely Disappointed – Worst Stay We've Had

This was by far the worst stay my family and I have ever had at an Embassy Suites. The room was not clean and clearly outdated, there were stains on the lamps, a ripped headboard, and dirty, dust-covered vents. The plumbing was also an issue; we could hear every time someone flushed a toilet. On top of that, we were constantly disturbed by noise from upstairs..walking and talking throughout the night and early morning. When we requested an extra blanket for our kids (who were using the pull-out couch), we were told by the front desk that there were no blankets available. We had to give them the ones from our own bed, which was completely unacceptable. Breakfast was equally disappointing. It was unorganized and chaotic. The food was watered down and messy, our daughter even slipped on the wet floor due to spilled food and drinks, and we couldn’t find any staff to help. We were so frustrated that we decided to leave before our scheduled check-out time. This hotel did not feel like an Embassy Suites at all. It felt more like a poorly refurbished Motel 6. We were incredibly disappointed and would not recommend this location to anyone.

The staff was great at check-in and even though was placed in the wrong room type the front lobby staff resolved the issue by getting us into another room. The AC did not work in the new room, but again the front lobby staff had somebody on it right away to fix it it. Older hotel and was okay for a quick stop on our way to Long Beach for our family cruise.

Front Desk was Great, Everywhere else was rude

The breakfast staff was very disrespectful and rude. Having a line for breakfast and continually allowing to serve guests that were behind me was wrong. I guess because l have tattoos, l was not welcome there, and it was made apparent by this. I would not stay again.

The venue is absolutely beautiful very clean very well maintained. The breakfast and the happy hour amenities and food or delicious. The staff with Joe Gemma and front desk staff were very courteous, efficient and caring. I traveled with four handicapped elderly relatives and they win beyond accommodating to make sure that not only were they comfortable, but that I was taken care of. I will definitely come back over and over again, and have already recommended it to several of my friends from out of state that will be traveling to Palm Springs to other parts of California. I suggested they use embassy suites guaranteeing that everything should be the same. Thank you for your hospitality your warm and your relaxing atmosphere Gracie Gutierrez 925-818-9950.

Everyone there was great; welcoming and friendly. The room definitely needed a refresh. The bed wasn't very comfortable, the couch needed the back pillow which would have made it more comfortable to sit in and there were spots were tape was holding up wallpaper. The grounds are beautiful and the breakfast and happy hour were both great!
