How is this place rated 3 stars? You can see from the bones of it that it was probably a desirable location for business conferences 20 years ago. The accents and furniture and carpets are worn. There's a photo in the listings with a nice fireplace and a couple of easy chairs surrounding it. That's still here, but the carpet all around that area is worn to the floor. It's seen better days for sure. There's a layer of dirt and grime that doesn't look like it's ever coming out.
Checking in, the attendant was nice enough. I won't say anything bad about him. He's clearly a young person just trying to get himself through school. However, the process wasn't very fast enough though we did the reservation ahead of time. I chalk it up to antiqued technology.
From there, things only got worse. The pool is out of order and so are some of the other facilities. Also, the cable TV doesn't work either. The elevator is difficult to get to and sounds like it's about to send you plummeting to your death. A smell of cat urine is present in various places throughout. Our room was on the 5th floor. It's felt mostly abandoned. Our room - 524 - took multiple attempts to open using the provided key cards.
Outside of the beds being super comfy and new, the rest of the room wasn't great. The shower was okay but tub was grungy. The sink leaked all over the floor onto your feet. The carpets were stained and all of the lights were unplugged. We didn't enjoy our stay.
