I would like to start by addressing the discrepancies between the pictures on the website and the actual condition of the rooms. The first room we were assigned appeared muggy and damp, far from the standard depicted online. After expressing our concerns, we were moved to another room that was supposedly renovated. Initially, we had booked a King room, but were informed that there were no renovated King rooms available, so we were placed in a double room instead.
The new room was in poor condition, with visible dirt and mold under the sink. While a new shower curtain had been installed, the rusty rings from the previous curtain were still in place. We were told the hotel was undergoing renovations, but this is not an acceptable reason to move guests into an unclean room, especially one with mold.
Had I not booked through Hotels.com, I would have immediately sought alternative accommodations. However, when I inquired about potential solutions, I was told there was nothing they could do because of the booking method, though I was aware that a refund would not be possible. As someone with severe allergies, it was incredibly disappointing to feel ill while on vacation due to the state of the room.
Overall, our experience was extremely unsatisfactory. There were fans running in the hallways, and we left feeling very disappointed with the quality of the hotel.
