Horrible check in experience
I arrived at about 11:00 pm and the front desk was gone, they leave at 10:00pm. There is a phone number to call but it put me in voice mail. So, I decided to check my email (I had been driving all day) and there were a few emails from the motel. But there was no room number or entry code email. I called the given phone number again and this time someone did answer. She gave me a room number but when I went to the room I could hear dogs inside, obviously it had already been assigned to someone else. She gave me another room and the problem was finally resolved after about 1/2 hr. Context: the temperature was in the teens in F, -8 in Celsius.

Location and motif was excellent, easy access and quiet also pet friendly. Mattresses were worn out at best and TV outdated. The bathtub faucet had paint on it and the bathtub was in very poor condition. Everything was extremely clean!

Family stay, with 9&11 year olds
Our stay was great! Clean sheets. No weird smell, clean bathroom and adorable decor. My boys loved it. Beds are a bit small but standard hotel queen. Walls are thin, so there is a white noise machine lol you will use if you had children. But my boys were out in a minute. There is plenty of lights, outlets for charging devices, small fridge, and check in was easy! Best part. Loved it. Fun stay after dinner!!!

Sadly, a huge disappointment
We were super excited about staying at the Big Texan and eating at the restaurant. We arrived about 730pm, the auto check-in was nice. We went to the restaurant about 745pm and there was a 2.5 hr wait. We put our name down, but was never called for our table. We ended up using uber eats for pizza. The room wasn't in the main building, which was ok, but it smelled very musty on entry. There was a huge water stain and damage in the ceiling, water damage in the bathroom wall and graffiti all over the back of the entrance door with colorful language. The beds were extremely uncomfortable *way too hard. Sadly. I would not recommend this place. Spend a little extra and get a good nights sleep.
