Terrible check in, avoid
The check-in process is bad. We rang the bell for the hotel and no answer. We rang the telephone number on the booking only to be told the person "was not the owner" and we'd have to wait for someone to show up. 40+ minutes later, someone finally checked us in. The hotel is comfy enough. The room was dark, the toilet seat was too small for the toilet (which was strange and uncomfortable), the breakfast was poor and not as described. I would not stay here again. The location was good though.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The owners were highly communicative prior to our arrival and even booked our arrival and departure transportation to the hotel, which I compared to an Uber rate and found to be extremely competitive yet far more convenient since they were waiting inside the terminal upon our arrival... knowing exactly where to take us. The owners met us at the apartment to provide a tour of the unit and its facilities. Being a 1400 yr old building, we had a small bathroom and some low ceilings, but overall the place was comfortable with incredible character. The location was AMAZING... so central and convenient to everything... with restaurants just outside the front door. Very cool! I highly recommend this property and will gladly return!

This is an AirBNB
This is not a hotel or a guest house. These are suites in residential buildings. They’re AirBNB. No room cleaning between days, no offer to change towels, not even enough toilet paper. No front desk to ask for help in getting neighbours to be quiet late at night. No taxis allowed to drive in this area so you’re walking in and out with your bags. As a VIP member we were supposed to have a bottle of wine waiting - we had to ask for it, and then it was dropped off without notification of room entry. Floors need cleaning. Lights above the bath are loose and flash like a strobe. Kitchen walls have food splashes. And these are not “hot tubs”, they’re bathtubs. The owners are quite nice and good with communication but you have to organize an exact meeting time which can be hard when travelling. In all, the establishment advertisement is misleading and we were very disappointed

Stay clear of this one. Noisy and moldy
Stay clear! The communication with the host was good, and he was polite. The location was good during the day, but extremely noisy at night. But it was mold in the room (at the walls and bathroom) and when we tried to use the AC it smelled blue cheese right away. Nasty and it didn’t feel sanitary or safe. The shower was bad also. Low pressure and just not comfortable. Because of that we are happy we only had to stay one night.

Wonderful room in very ancient palace in the heart of Roma . Only drawback you have to climb three flights of stairs in a very narrow spiral staircase.

The property was in such a great location. Piazza Navona is so lively in the evenings - lots of options for drinks and food! The actual rooms are so cute! Original wood beams and we had the cutest little balcony type window that opened up over the street. The only drawback is that it’s an old building so there are no elevators and the stairs are steep and lots of them.. so if you have mobility issues it would be difficult to get up and down.

The owners were lovely. Alessandro and Marlon are top blokes. Marlon was so helpful. Anything we needed was no trouble, and if there were any issues, it was addressed pronto. Free Breakfast only consists of drink and croissant. Beware of the stairs. Three flights, quite narrow and steep. However Marlon will not only help you with your luggage when you arrive, but when you leave too

We stayed in the Farnese Annex and it was a perfect location just round the corner from Campo de fiori and straight across the bridge from Trastevere. We could walk to all the historic sites with ease. Salvatore and his wife met us and walked us to the apartment. They were so kind and friendly. Having a kitchenette made it very homey, the hot tub was perfect for soothing exhausted legs, and the bed was super comfy. They also had Netflix, if that's your thing. We could also leave our cases after check out as we had a late flight. I'm definitely staying in the Annex apartment next time I'm back in Rome.

Perfect Location
Great hotel and prefect location that puts you within walking distance of lots of the world class attractions. We found that pretty much everything we wanted to see was walkable from there. The owners are very pleasant and helped us find the place when we got a bit lost on the first night. Would highly recommend for a visit to Rome if you want to pack alot in.

The property location was phenomenal! We walked to Trevi Fountain, the Panthenon, Piazza Navona, shopping, restaurants, Campi de Fiori and so much more ! The owners were so nice and helpful. The unit was incredible and well maintained. It was a contemporary unit in an older building. The air conditioning worked great and it was needed as we went in late August. Everything was clean and neat like a hotel. The only part I need to mention is that this is an older building with no elevator so not recommended for older clients as we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs each time. No problem for us as we are in our 50's with good knees and feet.... But if you are going to Rome you will be doing a lot of walking anyway. Great place I would stay in again! 5 stars!

Super clean, and staff was helpful w/luggage and airport shuttle (fee). Steps away from great food/shopping. Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps were all very walkable. Very safe area to walk at night. The street noise could not be heard in the room w/windows shut. Walls are paper thin and entire conversations are easily heard. No elevator. The very narrow, winding, spiral marble staircase with a thin metal handrail is 50 steps up. There is an AED and fire extinguisher available. Small table and chairs with coffee service was nice to enjoy the street activity below while having coffee. It’s the perfect room for agile people who can handle the stairs easily and want to see all the best spots Rome has to offer.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Navona property. The location is the best - walking distance to most things, lots of restaurants right outside. Always very clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. The suite we stayed in was on the third floor, up a very narrow, winding staircase very Medieval. Fun, but be aware. In this suite, the walls were quite thin and we happened to have extremely noisy neighbours, shouting and banging in the middle of the night. Not the hotels fault, of course but annoying. We would definitely stay here again.
