Clean but noisy
The hotel is historic. It was very clean and the lobby was decorated nicely for Christmas. The staff was friendly and helpful. The noise level was very high though. There is a bar right behind the hotel and people were out in the alley yelling until 3 am both nights. Motorcycles rode up and down the alley all night long. The windows are very old and single pane, so there was no noise barrier.

Tv wouldn’t work correctly. Came to fixit twice. Hole in the wall. Roach in the tub. Stains in the tub. Water takes about 5 minutes to get warm room 228 ( two night stay. No coffee cups in the hall the morning we left. We deserve some kind of a refund. Last time we staged here was much better.

Quaint hotel in downtown
Very quaint hotel and would stay again with a bigger room and not during the holiday festival which I was unaware of. Very nice location to restaurants and bars. Everyone was super friendly. I ended up leaving early due to the festival. I was looking for a quiet weekend. Hotel staff was very understanding and providing a refund for the unused nights. The bed wasn’t comfortable for me but most hotel beds are not for me.

Hunter Arms Hotel
I loved the quaintness of this hotel. But the customer service was terrible. My TV never worked. After they "fixed" it I couldnt change channels. I couldnt even turn it off. I finally unplugged it. The pop machine was empty and nevered filled even though I told them I lost my money. It was a couple of days before I got my money even though i asked for it several times. The college kids at the front desk said they didnt have access to it. I was there 3 nights. The night before I left, I told them to call someone and get access to whatever they needed to get access to.

A blast from the past!!
The hotel itself, is an experience like no other. It was like a walk back in time. Great location! Awesome service. Hotel staff was above and beyond nice to all their guest. The room was a bit smaller then I would have thought it to be. Everything (besides the tv in room) screamed a “unique time in history”, including the wall mounted telephone that you so wanted to play in. Very clean and smelt very crisp. Noise levels were acceptable, even with the wooden floors. My only gripe would be that I witnessed late night, there were two German cockroaches that came out of the bathroom areas. Besides the time I gave spotting and removing them, my stay was very nice. I awoke to a local market right outside the hotel, on the main streets. So I give a grade of 4 out of 5 stars for my stay. I hope they get a chance to properly spray for pest so that their guest never have to worry about that.

First time stay but will not be my last. Very cute hotel built in 1927. It holds alot of the original character with a walk to the past. The room was nice...Queen bed, small frig, microwave, TV and window air units because of age central air not an option due to keeping with the original design. A very cute courtyard and a coffee shop in the lobby. Off street parking with cameras in and outside. I encountered 4 staff members who really went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Local restaurants and bars within walking distance. I will DEFINITELY be staying there again!

We’ve made it a point to stop here on our way down since we discovered it 2 trips ago. Always a pleasure. Staff is phenomenal! Rooms are great. Just what you need. Clean, cold & comfortable. Great places walking distance. Caffe next door & great restaurant on other side. Love it!
