Sanctuary at Grand Memories
Nice All Inclusive in Varadero. The Sanctuary offers a great get away from the main Grand Memories with separate breakfast dining area, pool, and check in / service area. Beach just a walk away from the complex.

I really enjoyed the stay at this resort. The sanctuary is for adults only so it is very quiet and peaceful. The food was amazing and the staffs were super friendly and helpful. Our butler Norvin really made our vacation more convenient. He was super helpful and always on call whenever we need him for everything. I will definitely go back! Highly recommended.

-the hotel is in good conditions but every time you ask for a drink they give it to you in plastic cups :( Sometimes the food service is very slow and sometimes they don't have everything in the menu so be sure to ask if you really want something in particular.

Check-in was terrible, staff was not friendly and the room reserved (King bed) was not the room given (two twin beds). I was taller than the bed. There’s an expectation for your reservation to be what you get, not a bait and switch. There was no attempt by staff to ameliorate the situation. The food in the nice restaurant was sub-par and room service was slow and the order was wrong.

I stayed in this hotel toward the end of my trip in Cuba for only two nights. Work up after the first night, the floor was covered with water everywhere. It turned out the room next door had a serious leak, and the water overflew into my room. Later I noticed I got bitten by bed bugs. Still have these itchy bits on my legs, neck, arms. Had to clean and sanitize every single item in my suitcase. It's a lot of work!
