Horrible Experience for a Marriott Hotel
If you’re considering staying here, DON’T. I’ve been a loyal Marriott customer for years, but my recent stay on October 29, 2024, was beyond unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this property does not care about its guests. Despite choosing Marriott for a special occasion—celebrating two birthdays in our group of five—we were met with disrespect and shockingly poor service.
Upon arrival, we weren’t even offered the basics—no welcome, not even water. When we asked for a glass, we were denied at the reception. Finally, after a lengthy wait and much negotiation, the initial receptionist did offer us a sea-facing room but said we couldn’t check in until 3 PM, cutting into our day. Fine, we thought, so we left our bags at reception and accepted the delay.
But when we came back, a different receptionist acted as if none of our previous requests had been made. No communication between staff whatsoever! We had to waste another hour re-explaining everything, all due to their lack of coordination.
To top it off, we were rudely told to haul our heavy luggage to the room ourselves. For a hotel that’s supposed to be premium, the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic hospitality was shocking. If you’re planning a special trip, don’t trust this Marriott to make it memorable—in fact, you’d be better off anywhere else. Stay away.
