This place was very basic. It was convenient when arriving late on Island as one could just walk to. The music from the bar was too loud to sleep and the place really needs up keep. The cooks tried but the food needed help. Best thing was the understaffed staff were so nice and tried very hard.

Liked: location to Airport. Food. Staff in Reception and Bars. View from restaurant Disliked absolutely no water pressure for shower, trickle at best. Couldnt shower for 5 days! Cleaning of room poor. Building in disrepair. Safe didn't work. Reported issues, no resolution.

Bra mat, fräscht och rent
Super nära flygplatsen tog verkligen bara ett par minuter att gå och när man väl var där så kunde man inte tro att det låg så nära flygplatsen. Mycket rent och fräscht rum, frukosten va kanon. Vi åt lunch fösta dagen och middag andra och maten var kanon mycket gott.

This hotel is perfect for an airport wait or layover. It was free wifi, air conditioning, a bar and restaurant and bag storage. The food and drinks are really good and well priced. I would not stay for a holiday. It is next to a bar and very noisy, and we were placed in a room directly next to the bar with our 1 year old. You cannot even have the curtains open as people are drinking right outside the window. I don’t think this hotel is suitable for young children. Tv doesn’t work and no remote. Our air conditioning was dripping water consistently and the noise was so annoying on top of the night club outside. The room also had a very strong smell of urine and dampness. The room however is nice, big, and clean aside from the smell. It has a modern bathroom and furniture. They provided a good condition portacot.

First time experiencing Rarotonga & loved how convenient The Islander was which was a 3 minute walk. Highlights: Rooms were clean, spacious & had a fan aircon on hot days. Food was good in price and quantity wise. Breakfast was a bonus, menu is good! Service was exceptional, real warm staff who made you feel welcomed. Shout-out to Romi, Lival, Ange, Andrea, Taka & Ms Tuaine. Lowlight; Place a tad run down, shower head pressure weak. And mosquitoes in the room were a pain, had to purchase fly spray as I got bitten. Music was loud and on till late but glad our room was at the end. Facilities very clean overall reasonable good price especially glad we did late check-out as we had a late flight.

We stayed one night at the Islander as I had misbooked our other accommodation. I was so grateful they could fit us in and allowed a single night booking. When we arrived it was extremely noisy in the room as the bar was right next to it. However at 11pm the music turned off and people left and it was blissfully quiet. If you need a place to stay next to the airport for a night the Islander is a great option.

Ein gutes Hotel mit einem sehr guten Restaurant.
Wir haben das Hotel für unsere erste Nacht gebucht, da es direkt am Flughafen ist. Wir konnten 23:30 Uhr noch einchecken, unser Zimmer war riesig groß, die Betten waren sehr bequem, alles war sauber und der Check-in schnell und freundlich. Einziger Wermutstropfen: es roch etwas unangenehm. Dafür gab es ein sensationelles Frühstück und der Service war auch wirklich super.

From check in it was clear the property was under maintained. Probably rank as a quality back packer accommodation, but no more. Room was okay on first inspection, however bed wasn't comfortable, and there was no TV remote. Once I switched it on using buttons, there were no available channels anyway... Not sure why it's there!! Needs some type of external source. We lost all water to take and toilet that evening, while brushing teeth, used water from kettle to rinse. Not possible to shower that night, and hopefully to would be fixed during the night, it was, and we were able to shower in the morning, fortunately. It's nice the resort has a pool, but it's actually in the middle of the restaurant, so if you want to swim, you'd better be prepared for an audience!! Overall, rather disappointing place to stay, except for proximity to the airport... The only drawcard in my opinion.
