The staff there are very nice. However, the design is a bit creepy for Asian people especially those with Chinese cultural background. There is a spirit tablet (神主牌）in the lobby. They also used joss paper like lamps inside the room.

The hotel was in the perfect location. Off a side street to get away from the street noise, but at the same time right in the heart of all the action. The buffet was delicious and well arranged. Our room was very clean, hot hot shower, and a big comfortable bed. Would 100% recommend this place.

Little hidden gem
We were out most of the day so literally just slept in the room! The beds were extremely comfortable, staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is great too. Slightly strange location in an alley too narrow for cars but the upside of that is less traffic noise! Very convenient location in the old quarter, highly recommend.

Handy location and upscale design
Great boutique hotel in Old Quarter close to lake. Location is a bit hard to find the first time because in an alley but otherwise well situated and gives it an even more local flavor. Nicely decorated, good size, functional room and great breakfast.

Don't expect any help booking transportation
Don't expect any help booking transportation to other destinations in Vietnam. The guy at the front desk would not even tell me how it works for pickups in the narrow alley where the hotel is located. Kept repeating "I don't know" to everything. Two days later, at checkout he asks me if I want a shuttle to the airport! Hmmm, NOW you want to help? The rest of the staff were great, especially the ones in the restaurant. Very attentive and friendly.

A truly unique hotel - amazing!
I recently stayed at the Kecho Legacy Hotel in Hanoi, and it was truly a unique and unforgettable experience. The hotel’s design transported me back in time with its traditional Vietnamese aesthetic. The rooms were beautifully styled with rich, dark wood, vaulted ceilings, and a blend of wood and tiled floors that made me feel like I was staying in an old Vietnamese home. One of the standout features was the rooftop deck. It was thoughtfully designed with intricate, old-world architecture that added to the hotel’s charm. It was the perfect place to relax and take in the city from above. The breakfast was exceptional—not only was the food delicious, but the buffet was impeccably maintained and beautifully presented. It was clear that every detail was carefully thought out to create a wonderful dining experience. The lobby deserves a special mention as well—it felt like walking into a museum exhibit, filled with cultural touches that set the tone for a memorable stay. The only downside was the bathroom design. The shower drained very slowly, and since there wasn’t a barrier between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, it would flood within minutes of use. It was a bit inconvenient, but it didn’t detract too much from an otherwise amazing stay. If you’re looking for a place that’s rich in character and offers a deep sense of place, Kecho Legacy Hotel is an incredible choice. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

호텔 위치는 36거리에 있어서 걸어서 어디든 가기 좋은곳에있어요. 그런데 호텔 분위기는 각자 취향이 다르기 때문에 밝고 깨끗한곳을 선호하시는 분들을 고려하세요. 침구는 깨끗하지만 오래된 목조에서 풍기는 냄새가 조금 힘들게 느껴지실수 있고 호텔앞 좌판에서 고기파는 냄새, 고기 요리하는 냄새가 호텔룸으로 들어와 냄새에 민감하신분들을 힘들수 있어요.호텔 입구에있는 시장풍경이 유쾌하진 않아요.호이끼엠 호수도 가깝고 맥주거리 모두 호텔앞이라 걸어서 여행하시기는 좋은 위치에 있어요. 혹시 아이들 동반하시는 가족여행객은 어려운 호텔이지 않을까합니다

Charming & traditional in the old quarter
