Disappointing hotel experience
I am a platinum member with VIP access and perks. When I make a reservation, I use the VIP access filter for hotels that recognize this status—and did so in deciding on this hotel. When I checked in, I asked about an upgrade and was told it would cost me $250–more than twice what I was already paying. I told the clerk my status and she called a manager who said that free upgrades were only for Wyndham members.
The room on the surface looked comfortable enough but we found trash behind the chair, a dirty coverlet (looked like paw prints) and black pubic hair on the toilet seat (neither of us have black hair). When reported, there wasn’t even an apology.
